Race & Commercials
Tehee, aren't the new colours perrty? :) A pix gonna be put into the bg soon :):) and I'm making a new year's resolutions list.. Triple fun :):):)
But less about that, and more about what i came to write about: Race and Commercials. (And call me slow, but i've only picked this up recently >xP) Have you ever realized how they link up?.. Take that commercial, where this woman comes home to find her husband and this "debbie-travis-makeover-ish-crew" have redone her room. Note how the crew of interior designers are all black or asian, basically anything but white, what the husband and wife are. I mean, is it me, or is that a "commercial technique"-- as in a technique used to allow better understanding for the audience..?... Well my point is that things like these aren't helping in the whole "battle" against racism, by keeping it going. The hell with better commercials, step in and change it instead.
