Well, after about 25-30 cm, the snow clearing festival begins. My street and sidewalks in St. Henri are full of snow though out in Outremont where I've just been was pretty damn clear everywhere. I've lodged a complaint to the info below and see where that gets me.

Montreal's top snowman is reassuring us that they're tackling the icy conditions as best they can.
But Marcel Tremblay adds that factors like fickle temperatures can work against them.
"It's very unfortunate that people get hurt. So that's one of the things we assure ourselves to put the maximum salt or sand. There's many processes being used to (make sure) we're using the right material. But when you have temperatures that vary between minus 20 degrees to plus ten, if you use sand or salt at certain occasions, it's not going to be good at all."
In studio talking calls during the Tommy Schnurmacher Show, the executive committee member in charge of snow removal says that they're trying to clear the sidewalks and put down as much salt as possible so that when it's expected to freeze over tonight and tomorrow, there'll be fewer problems.
Meantime, Montreal's E.R.s are treating a couple of cases related to the icy conditions.
St. Mary's reports eight people have had to come in so far for treatment after slipping and falling on icy sidewalks.
The Montreal General says they've also had a few cases.
E.R.s are girding themselves for tonight and tomorrow when things are expected to freeze over.
As for the snow, the city of Montreal says it's almost there: it says it's finished carting away the snow from over 90% of the downtown area and 75% from the rest of its territory.
And it adds the rest should be gone in the next couple of days.
To help make things easier for snow removal crews, the city is urging motorists to take advantage of the 5600 free emergency parking spaces. To find out where they are, call 3-1-1 or click on ville.montreal.qc.ca/déneigement.
The city says while they're removing the remaining snow, it's also spreading salt at the same time on sidewalks and streets.
But things should get more complicated when it gets colder tomorrow coupled with strong winds and more snow on the way on Wednesday. So the city is urging people to take public transit and to carpool to help ease traffic.
The city is encouraging you to phone in any complaints at 3-1-1 or to email the executive committee member in charge of snow removal at marcelgtremblay@ville.montreal.qc.ca.
