Why me?

So, I get up at 8:45 so that I can have some extra office hours for the students that are in ICS 161. What happens? I get the beginnings of a migraine.

For me, migraines start with a loss of peripheral vision such, where those portions that I can't see are very sparkly. This wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't freaky and if it wasn't going to be followed by a spliting headache.

If I lay down in time, the visual wackiness goes away, and I get to see again (which is always nice). If I let it go too long...because there are a few things I need to do before I get the opportunity to lay down (like today), a short time later I get numbness. It usually starts with my right hand, in kind of a similar sense and numbness that happens when you lean on your arm for a few minutes. Then it usually wanders to my face and mouth, which feels a lot like getting a blast of novacaine (in terms of sensation), though like I said, it wanders.

Right now, I'm just begining to feel the pain, my tongue is numb, but at least I can see and properly type now.

Another problem is that it is hard to keep more than a few thoughts in my head at one time, and it is very difficult to speak or think of words I want to use.

(now it has wandered from my tongue to the roof of my mouth)

I should also mention that it only ever happens to my right hand, the right side of my face, tongue, etc. Basically the half of my brain that I use to do computer science. Uck.

Anyways, I'm going to muck around. I hope someone comes today. If no one does, I'm going to be irked.
