Fic issues meme.

Stolen from itsbuttery and many others.

Choose three completed stories you've done, and list at least one thing about each you wish you would've done differently when you wrote it.

To be honest, I'm pretty satisfied with most of what I've posted online, because I only post completed works I'm satisfied with, but there's still some that I wish I'd written differently...

1. Mixed Emotions (MMPR): I have many issues with that fic. First, the grammar/spelling, structure and whatnot. It's the second fic I wrote in English, and my use of the language back then was pretty shaky. I also didn't really provide any real explanation of why the main pairing happened; I basically just threw two characters together because I thought they'd be cute together. Oh, and let's not forget the overused plotline. Also, I wrote the fic just after coming back to the PR fandom, and there's a blantant lack/ignorance of canon. I didn't really know what had gone on with the characters on the show, and I didn't bother researching. Also, the last chapters are pretty rushed, because I just wanted to get this fic done and over with, so I threw things together to make an ending that I think is obviously botched. What surprises me is how many people actually liked it. I've thought about doing a complete rewrite, but I just don't have the heart to do it.

2. It's Zord Time! (PRDT): I wish I hadn't even attempted to write humour fic, but unfortunately this fic was written for a challenge and it was my only prompt. This fic is so lame, I hate it. The title, too, I'd change if I had to do it again. Somehow many people liked it, though, judging by the FF.net review I'm still getting every once in a while. Heh. Whatever floats their boat.

I'm seriously pretty satisfied with the rest of what I wrote. I re-read my fics and smile because I think it's good, and some (most of my Harry/Cedric fic, some Power Rangers, Veronica Mars) make me wish I could write more fic like that, because I seem to have lost that style I had.

But if I really have to put in a third fic...

3. Dude... I Have Like No Idea (VM): The title. Oh, how I'd change it. I wasn't inspired back then, still aren't. I sent the fic to tempestquill so she'd tell me what she thought of it, and I'd put that as the title in the Word document... it was just me trying to be witty and saying I had no freaking clue what should be the title, but she thought it was the title and so I kept it, because I couldn't be bothered finding something else - I just wanted to post the fic.

Wow. That meme was hard. I actually had to think about my answers. lol.
