A year of change

So, here we are at the start of a brand new year. There are going to be so many things that change and most of them for the better.

First of all, we have a new president who will usher in a new era in American politics. Whether it's good or bad isn't for me to say, but for all of us to be active and whitness the change. Things will be brighter and lots of good will happen, of this I'm sure.

Second, most of us will be graduating this spring. Our degrees vary, and our paths in life are very different, but we all face the same thing. The economy is still uncertain and the job market is still unstable. We are going out into a world that needs us, but can't support us yet. While I imagine we will all have some struggles with this ( unless you're a lucky bastard who already has a job lined up) I am still confident that we will all find our little corner of happiness, for the time being.

Finally, on a far more personal note, there will be changes with relationships. We are entering that strange phase in life where our friends begin to get engaged. ( While this is shocking, I find it far preferable than the alternative phase that hits in our late 20s early 30s, the baby phase.) This is something I cannot wait for. I finally am really, truly content with whom I've found in Pat.

So, to all you, my friends from forever ago, here's to a new year full of new change and discovery.
