"Now's not everything"

May 03, 2011 13:03

I promised it a long time ago, but I'm sorry it's only now. I didn't translate it, I just wrote it in my native language and a friend of mine did the rest. I hope somebody would like it ^^' For Hinatah, really, really late b-day present...
Now I'm going to "study" for my exams which I have from tommorow on... most important, well, but I didn't even opened a single book yet.

Title: Now's not everything
Pairing: TaNaka (Tanaka Koki x Nakamaru Yuichi)
Rating: pg 16
Summary: There are big changes in a band and Maru is the only one who tries to make everything easier. And that's why he's getting tired and frustrated as the only reasonable guy in a band.

He was observing the street. Twenty minutes ago Ueda made him go for a walk in order to cool down. He astonished not only his bandmates but also himself. He’d never think of beating one of his friends. Instead of aimlessly wandering, he sat in a small, crowded cafe. He needed peace but not quiet. If he were to calm down, then something - or someone - had to drown out his thoughts. Not until half an hour later his cellphone answered. He assured Ueda that now he’s calm, paid his bill, and returned to the recording studio.
-Everything’s alright?- asked Junno, welcoming him by the building’s entrance. - Was this break helpful for you?
-Yeah. Thanks. And sorry for that outburst - murmured Nakamaru, embarrassed. He wasn’t used to something like that, he almost didn’t do anything at all. He was a perfectionist.
-You’re welcome- assured him Junnosuke.
They entered the small room. The recording engineer was sitting by panels with Kame. Both of them has headphones on their ears. Kamenashi was shaking his head to music, focusing on what he was listening to. Having serious face, he was scribbling something in his notebook. Maru looked through the glass to see whose parts are being recorded.
- He’s into his work. Seriously - said Tatsuya.
Maru nodded and sat beside him, while Junnosuke found a better place opposite them and concentrated on the screen of his mobile phone. His best way of escaping reality were games, so he occupied himself with car races.
-I know what you’re up to - stated Ueda.- But sometimes you have to take it easy. We’re not machines. We need some entertaintment.
-But to record thirty seconds of a song for three days only because one of us wanted to clown around? Even recording of a music video doesn’t take us so much time!
-Nakamaru-kun, could you not shout?- recording engineer scolded him.
Maru shot him a glance. Koki, visibly put out of patience, stood and stomp his feet, pointing as his watch and showing it Kame.
-Koki, hold out. It’s almost done - Kamenashi murmured to the microphone, pressing a button.
Just then, Kame and recording engineer took off their headphones when Tanaka shrieked into the microphone at the top of his lungs.
-I’m sorry - said repentantly Maru.- I won’t be disturbing anymore.
-Tanaka-kun, once again - said visibly bored recording engineer. - We almost have it. If it’s alright, you’ll be free.
Everyone ignored an uncensored gesture made by him.
-Whatever. At least he’s trying, istn’t he? - asked Ueda.
-Ssh!- groaned Kame in their direction.
They bowed their heads like children who’d done something wrong and slipped out of the room. They knew that some time have to pass until their time comes.
When they made their way back to the studio, it was already past eleven p.m. There was not the end of their work for today; some of them had a perspective of paper- and not only this - work for the whole night. The last entering was Kame, who stopped in front of a vending machine, buying a coffee.
-I’m worn out - mumbled hoarse Koki.- You made me repeat it fifty times!
- Forty three - said Junno, passing the rapper.
Tanaka jumped in order to attack him, but Ueda was holding him by his jacket.
-You’re despicable - mumbled Koki.
Everybody took their notes and was keeping themselves busy with their work. At one a.m. they had dancing rehearsal, and when an hour an half later they’d finished it, most of them were worn out. Their dressing room soon became empty. Nakamaru was left there alone. After a while Kamenashi joined him.
-You here?- he asked, raising up his head from lyrics from which he was to choose one as his solo.
-Mhm- mumbled Kame and sat next to him. He occupied himself with a pile of papers, taking eighth cup of coffee.
Nakamaru was looking at him. Although for everyone his almost perfectly built body was blatantly oblivious, he noticed that Kame recently lose weight . He caught sight of bangs under his eyes, which were very visible in the light of fluorescent lamps . An hour had passed and he needed a break, so he went out to stretch his legs. He was tossing a cigarette pack. He cut on smoking long time ago, but recently he’d been wondering whether to start it again. However unhealthy it might be, it’d been helping him to relax. Before entering the dressing room, he put them deep into his pocket. No one from his surroundings knew he’d been ever smoking. No sooner had he sat at the table, than he noticed that Kame fell asleep surrounded by his notes. He pulled them out and looked through them. That were provisional plans for their next tour. Some corrections have been put. All was handwritten by Kazuya. Although he was the youngest among them, he worked the hardest. Formerly, when Jin was with them, he had helped him very much. But now Kame was alone with this. And Nakamaru was not very good as it came to planning and time organisation. He covered Kame with a jacket and turned to his papers, trying not to make a lot of noise. He woke up after someone’s nudging his shoulder.
-Nakamaru-kun- he heard a calm whisper.
He opened his eyes and rubbed them, trying to regain sharpness of vision.
-We’re free today. What are you doing here? - asked Koki.
-I had to finish it...- mumbled Maru and lied his head back on the table.
His body was aching, he was cold and stiff. He was also extremely sleepy.
-Be quiet, you’ll wake up Kame - Koki muttered a reproof.-We’re going to drink beer. Wanna go with us?
-Today’s just begun. Furthermore, someone must drive Kame home. He must be exhausted.
- He can go with us.
- You’re completely irresponsible. Sometimes you have to work, not only think about pleasures, you know. So maybe once you could think about others, not only “me, me, me!”?!
-What the hell do you want? You’ re too sensitive! I reccomend you buying some porno cause you seem to be lacking sex!
-Shut up! Shut up!- cried Kamenashi, woken up because of their quarrels.- Couldn’t you not fight JUST ONCE?! You’ve mentioned thinking about others, haven’t you, Maru?- groaned Kame, springing to his feet. He had faltered a little, but then quickly gained balance.- So you could fucking thought five minutes ago I’m ALSO HERE! And I’m not gonna listen to your fights so early in the morning!
-I’m sorry - Maru humbly mumbled.- Do you want me to give you a ride?
-It’s alright - spluttered Kame.- I have to finish it till 2 p.m. and later I have a drama shoot...
-You should...
-DON’T TELL ME WHAT I SHOULD DO!- burst out Kame and left, slamming the door behind him.
-You pissed him off - said Tanaka.- So are you drinking with us?
-No. Someone has to be responsible and help Kame out. I’m not sure if you know, but overstrain can be harmful, and Kame works his butt off!
-So you claim that we not do so?
-Which one of you finished EVERYTHING which was supposed to do?
Koki hesitated.
-That’s what I’m talking about!
Maru found Kamenashi on the roof. Although he couldn’t help in many cases, he more or less managed to sort out the order of songs. Thanks to this, they finished several minutes after nine a.m. So Kame had a little time to come back home, freshen himself up, and take a nap.
Their problem was not only a spate of work but also the organization of Jin’s farewell party, as he was no longer hiding that he was going to return to the USA. It brought about some contretemps and Akanishi was done out of any activities. Anything including him was no longer planned. Nakamaru didn’t know how to behave in this situation. That’s why he decided to turn back to his addiction. He tightened his grip on ciggarete’s pack in his pocket. His hands started to shake. He was running up the stairs to the roof, missing every second step. He stood below a small roofing and was shocked a little. Kame jumped noticing him and tried to hide the cigarette behind his back.
-Okay, I’ll give it back to you - mumbled Kame.
He put it between his lips, knowing there’s no use hiding it.
-It’s mine?
-Mhm. I ran out of mine.
-How do you know I had them?
-The other day they slipped from your pocket- answered calmly Kamenashi.- You thought no one had noticed.
-I didn’t know you smoked - said casually Maru.
-I don’t like smoking. But it helps me to relax.
-Sure thing, I know something about this - mumbled Nakamaru, gazing on the packet of cigarettes that he pulled out of his pocket.-It’s about Jin?
-Why do you think so?- asked Kame, not showing any emotions. He inhaled the smoke, not turning his eyes away from the certain point of the building on the opposite.
-It somehow came to my mind.
-If so, who are you talking about?- asked Kamenashi.
-Hm?
-You don’t even know how much we have in common.
-Everything’s gonna be alright- Nakamaru assured him.
He put his pack of cigarettes into the pocket. He decided that the day when he comes back to smoking hasn’t come yet.
-Right decision- Kame praised him.- So are we gonna find out who’re you talking about?
Maru shruddered. He didn’t know himself.
They’re having an interview and in front of the cameras everything seemed to be perfectly alright. In front of the cameras. When they were no longer on air, suddenly dead silence surrounded them. Akanishi took his things and left, not looking round.
-Fucking asshole- growled Koki and kicked the now vacant chair.
Kame shot at this direction soulful gaze and pinned back his hair. Ueda pretended that nothing had happened. Junno, on the other hand, stuffed all his things to his bag and rushed after Jin. Nakamaru sighed.
-Tanaka-kun, calm down- he said emphatically.
-Don’t tell me what I should do. He is a a slow-witted, conceited and arrogant asshole and he deserved it!
-So tell him flat out- hissed Kame.
Even Ueda stopped pretending to be indifferent and looked at them. Kamenashi shrugged and left the room without turning away.
-What’s gotten into him?- askedKoki.
Ueda hit the back of his head and left too. Maru refrained from commenting. Someone in this band just had to be an responsible adult who keeps clear-headedness, and who cannot get carried away. Although day by day it was more and more difficult, he did his best.
He know each band member very well - even better than they were suspecting him to do. He devoted to this many hours of observation, thanks to which he always knew when one of them was worried. And even if now everything was perfectly clear to him, he didn’t know how to react. He knew that even though Koki is pretending to be a rebellious, arrogant guy who hate Jin as much as it’s possible, in fact is really frustruted and confused. One of his friends was leaving and he’ll be left alone. What is more, he couldn’t do anything to prevent it. Junno was torn. He wanted Jin to stay and not to leave, but at the same time he wanted his happiness and wished him luck in Los Angeles. Kame was down in dumps and often was lost in thoughts. Nakamaru guess that Kamenashi was constantly debating with himself: „Tell Jin or not?”. Maru though knew the answer to that question. However Kame being a turtle has been thinking really slowly and hasn’t yet a clue that the answer’d be: „I won’t tell”. He wasn’t afraid of taking a risk, but of the pain and disappointment which might bring rejection. But Ueda has always been the most unpredictable among them. In every situation he tried to be objective. He won’t allow his feeling to control him. He kept all of his regrets and failures for himself and submerged them, not allowing anyone to approach him. Even though he was so indifferent, Maru knew what he was thinking deep inside. Tatsuya liked Jin, they were good colleagues, they often joked together and vent their stress on each other. And now Nakamaru was the only one who could find a good path leading to the solution of this complicated matter.
First was Jin, who recently spent a lot of time alone. He was secluding from the group, but Maru knew his reasons. He wanted their inevitably approaching parting to be less painful. Nakamaru grunted to call the attention to himself. When Jin looked at him, he threw the pack of cigarettes to him. Akanishi cought it and pulled out one cigarette. He put it between his lips but didn’t smoke.
-Let’s go back inside - he said throwing away the pack.- Since when have you been smoking?
-I don’t smoke- hegded Maru.- Go back with me.
-I’d better not go back.
-Do you mean coming back now or... Coming back?- asked Nakamaru.
-Johnny probably wouldn’t like me to come back. It’d be better if I go away. - muttered Akanishi.- By the way... KAT-TUN has probably already decided, hasn’t it? Except for Junno, they’re not even speaking to me. And even he resents me though he didn’t say it aloud.
-Are you surprised? But don’t worry. He supports you. In his own way. When it comes to the crunch, he’ll be on your side. And all the rest… Well, they are also experiencing it. Kame couldn’t talk openly about his feelings. He immures himself in his shell - stated Maru and both of them bursted out laughing. - Well, he began to come up from the hard shell - Nakamuru continued the topic - but the fact you’re leaving horrified him a little. He’ll be also supporting you, no matter what you do. Ueda… Yeah, he’s a hard case. But now he wouldn’t have anyone to take it out on and you’ve been always on hand. Probably he thought himself to be selfish, wanting to hold you back here. Everyone’s afraid of the change because it’ll be quite specific. However, no one wants to get in the way of fulfilling your dreams. Even Koki doesn’t want to. He’s rather angry with himself than with you. He’d like to tell you something nice, but at the same time is afraid that instead he’d punch your lights out and make you stay.
-What about you?- asked Jin softly.
-What about me? I’ll be missing you. And finally someone’ll have to help Kame since you won’t be here.
-Maru... Has my departure... only negative effects?
-No. I’m sure not. It’d be worse if you stayed. You should check if it repays, if you’d be successful and so on. If you turn down the chance, you’ll become a gloomy, sour greybeard who’ll be always frustrated and would take it out on others, punishing them for his unfulfilled ambitions.
-Sounds scary.
They stood silent for a while. Finally, when Nakamaru stood up, wanting to left Jin alone to let him have time to give it a second thought, Jin lighted up the cigaterette.
Secondly, he found Kame. The boy was, as always, occupied with planning and all of the possible paperwork.
-Kame, you need some rest- Maru said firmly.
-I must put an end to it...
-You don’t have to. You occupy himself with this so that you don’t need to think about a certain matter.
They eyed each other up and down for quite a long time. Kame finally sighed and put the notebook back. He reached for the cup of coffee.
-About what?- he asked coldly, not even looking at him.
-You know about who.
-It’s no longer important. I can’t decide whether to tell him or not! What if he stay only because of this? Do you think that when it turned out that my feeling are returned, I’ll be able to let him go? And I won’t beg him to stay here and do not leave? He’ll hate me. And what if I’d tell him and he’ll jeer me?
-Kame... I’m aware that you’ll never tell him. You don’t have enough courage. But you could write that. Give him a letter and ask him to read it in on a plane. If he laughed, you wouldn’t know. And you cannot make him stay.
-But I don’t even have enough courage to do that- answered dully Kamenashi.
-So you’re going to hide behind the papers and pretend you didn’t have time? It’s your business - said Maru.- But you’ll regret it.
He turned on his heel and walked out, leaving the confused Kame behind. He knew it was best he could do.
His next aim was Junnosuke. As he has a lot of free time, it was quite easy to find him. As always he was playing the playstation keeping a low profile and not paying attention to the world surrounding him. Maru sat next to him, focusing on the TV screen and recognising Tekken 3. Junno filled with some kind of fury was somehow logically pushing the buttons. He didn’t even notice that Maru was there.
-Junno- began Nakamaru.
Taguchi threw the joystick and jumped up, laying his hand upon his heart.
-Don’t stalk like that- he mumbled, trying to calm his breath. - Do you want to give me a heart attack?
Nakamaru didn’t want to explain he was sitting next to him for over ten minutes. He just waited until Junno get over.
-Can we talk?- he finally asked.
-Mhm. Something happened?- asked Junno, catching the rejected joystick and once again focusing on the game.
-It’s about Jin.
Junnosuke frozed and lost the game. On the screen was visible a huge GAME OVER. He swallowed and look stealthily at Maru.
-I don’t understand- he mumbled.
-That way’d be better. You want him to leave, am I right?
He nodded.
-So grit your teeth and live on. It’s not like you wouldn’t meet each other anymore.
-But... It’d be different. He’ll be no longer a part of KAT-TUN. It’ll be only... Akanishi Jin.
-Junno, he’ll always be a part of KAT-TUN. No matter if he left or not. Provided that we’ll be treating him the same way. Jin won’t change. Let him go and don’t resent him for doing it. You don’t even imagine how much our support is needed for him. He needs yours too. It’s you who always brisk us up. Do it for Jin.
-One last time?
-Of course not. He’ll come back with his tail between his legs and he’ll certainly need it.
-What if not?
-Something bad gonna happen sooner or later. No matter if we’re talking about occupational or private sphere, something bad gonna happen.
Junnosuke returned to the game, so Maru knew that it was the end of their conversation. It was no use to continue when Taguchi’s been already in another world.
Nakamaru found Ueda while he was writing a song. His solo concert became a reality and Tatsuya set his mind on writing some of the songs.
-Tat-chan, are you free?- asked Maru hesitantly.
-Hm? Yeah, sure thing!- Ueda brightly answered and put back his notebook shooting Maru a wide grin. - What’s going on, Yuichi?
Ueda was the only one who were addressing him by his first name. He liked it.
-You know there are mails and telephones, don’t ya?
-Yeah.
-And when something’s wrong you can write to anyone?
-Yuichi, could you get down to brass tacks?- asked confused Tatsuya.- I don’t have so much time.
-Mhm. Okay. You’re not selfish. Not only you wants him to stay. Actually, I don’t know if there’s someone who really wants him to leave...
-Koki-answered Ueda.
-No- Maru shook his head.-He also wants him to stay. But that’s another story. I mean that it’s inevitable. Shout if you want. At anyone of us, we’ll somehow get over. It doesn’t have to be Jin. But don’t tryto scary our kouheis. This could be a problem for them.
-Yuichi?
-Talk with Jin- Nakamaru sighed.- Just talk with him. He’ll finally return. Do you want to part with him being on the warpath? Show him support.
-But Jin is a jerk- Ueda resented.- Anyway, he’ll understand it mistakenly. He haven’t even noticed...- he hesitated.- He’s stupid!
-Tat-chan, no matter what, don’t speak about Kame. How do you know?
-Ah, it wasn’t very difficult. Kame always have mood swings when he’s in love. It became worse since we knew Jin’ll leave us. Haven’t we drifted away from the original subject of our conversation?
-Yeah, we have. Anyway, Jin isn’t as dumb as blind. So are you going to talk with him? Now he needs us all.
-So why is he isolating himself?
-In order not to make us feel bad. Believe me or not, but he’s in the worst situation. He’ll be left alone.
Ueda nodded and pulled the notebook towards himself. Maru lied his hand on his shoulder and left Ueda, creating him proper working conditions. No sooner had he shut the door after him, than he heard the humming coming from behind the door.
Then it was the time for the conversation with Koki. He was the worst case so he took him to the gym. They wore the boxing gloves borrowed from Ueda. Koki didn’t need encouragement. He immediately started punching the punching bag, spitting out loud insults and swear words.
-Dull, arrogant, self-presumed stinker who thinks that he has the world at his feet! Fucking egoist, damn egocentric caring only for himself!
-Have you finished? - spytał Maru when Koki stopped to take a deep breath.
-Fucking worm!- he snapped.- I’ve finished.
-Do you feel better now?
-A little.
-Just let him be.
-Why should I?
-Why not?
-It’s not an argument.
-And what’s yours?
There was a deep silence. Tanaka once again began to punch the punching bag.
-Why won’t he talk with us?- he finally asked, continuously taking it out on the punching bag.
-Have you ever tried? He wants to, but you’re not giving him a chance. You know it’s his choice.
-Why is he leaving?
-Because here he’ll be always regarded as a part of KAT-TUN. He wants to try his luck. Without the background he gained with us.
-Everything’s gonna change- asserted Koki.
-Indeed. But it was supposed to happen, sooner or later.
-My gloves! I’m gonna kill you!- they heard shouting Ueda.
Some time after this, Koki lied knocked down on the floor and Maru tried to discreetly leave the gym.
-No way! NAKAMARU YUICHI, DON’T YOU DARE ESCAPE!
They were running up three flight of stairs in Jimusho, when Maru heard a loud crash and whine. He stopped and turned around to see Ueda lying on top of Jin. They were both tied with a string attached to the boxing gloves and were loudly cursing their situation.
-Nakamaru, I’m really gonna kill you!- threatened Ueda.- MY GLOVES!
Maru continued to run, provided he’ll be as far from vengeful and bloodthirsty Ueda.
Taguchi organised a small party. To his mind, KAT-TUN was finally at peace and there was a truce between them, so there was a reason to celebrate. When Maru showed up in Junno’s house, it turned out that the only invited guests were members of the band. He came quite late so the “party” has already got going. Junno, Jin and Ueda were playing car races, whereas Koki and Kame were having a contest who can drink more. Maru joined the three guys. Unaccountably, they all ended up playing the game originated by K and T. Kame was in the worst state, Koki looked a little better. The others were more or less sober. Maru went to a toilet and when he came back, Ueda and Junno were again playing car races. He noticed that Koki fell asleep at the table so he take the blanket - Junnosuke has been always prepared for any situation when he was organising a drinking spree - and covered Tanaka. It was when he noticed what was going on, more precisely - on the couch. Nakamaru haven’t even noticed that he accidentally had hit the rapper who woke up. He was looking at completely drunk Kame lying under Jin and kissing him hungrily. For a longer while he was only looking at the two frontmans swallowing each other’s tongues over and over again. He only reacted when Jin’s hand went into Kame’s pants. Nakamaru grabbed his shoulder.
-Stop it.
-Hm?- asked Akanishi, pulling away from Kazuya.
-Don’t do that with Kame. He’s completely drunk. Tomorrow he’d regret it.
Jin looked at him absent-mindedly and then looked at Kame. He reluctantly pulled out his hand from his trousers and didn’t lean over to kiss him.
-Not when he’s drunk- said quietly Maru.
He didn’t notice the glare that Tanaka shot him.
He was practising a lot together with Koki so that their performance in Shounen Club’d go perfectly. They didn’t want any mistakes. Yet he noticed that Koki’s attitude has changed. He already talked with Jin and they went drinking together, but he started to avoid Nakamaru. However, Yuichi didn’t try to intervene. He hoped that Koki’ll get over it and everything gonna go back to normal.
The performance went perfectly as they had planned. During „I don't miss U” Maru was behind the scenes and was observing Tanaka. He liked the choreography they created together and was impatiently awaiting his turn. He was hot and he felt dizzy. He finnaly heard the melody of „One on one” and grabbed the microphone.
After the show they went to the dressing room. They had very little space; they shared it with Koyama and another band. It was normal when it comes to Shounen Club. Nakamaru felt extremely hot. He stood up to ask someone to open the window. The next thing he remembered were the feverish voices somewhere over him. He felt that someone’s unbottoning his shirt. He got over only to open his eyes.
-Open the window and bring some water!- cried Koki. He looked at him and smiled.- So who is the responsible one? I’m not blacking out after performances. What’s with that water?!
-Maru, everything’s alright?- asked Koyama.
-Mhm. I’m only a little weak.
-Maybe Tanaka-kun would give you a ride? I don’t want you to drive.
-I’m fine.
-Don’t you really want?- asked Koki. Finally one of the Juniors gave him a bottle of water ,so he opened and gave it to Nakamaru.- Drink up. Have you eaten anything?
Maru tried to recall when he recently ate. He shook his head. In the morning he overslept so he had no time to eat breakfast. He was on the run all day.
-So we’re driving to your place- answered Koki.
Together with Koyama, they set him up and escorted to Tanaka’s car, leaving his protests unnoticed. After having shown him inside, he sat calmly but pulling a sulky face. No words were spoken during the ride. The car stopped so Maru’s hand gripped the car hande door.
-Thanks for giving me a ride, see ya...
-I’m going up with you- Koki said, looking at him as he was an alien.- Don’t even try to protest, it’s no use.
Nakamaru felt weird. He was used to caring for others. It was new that someone was doing it for him. He was sitting in his kitchen and observing as Tanaka was preparing dinner. He wasn’t allowed to rise from his seat - unless it was to go to the toilet or to bed. Finally Koki put the plate in front of him and sat opposite him. Maru sighed and began to eat. He was nervous because of surrounding them silence. Soon it was broken by Koki.
-I know it’s not really good. I can’t cook, but it’s eatable. Can I ask you something?
-Mhm?
-What’s that Kame has and I hasn’t? Why do you prefer him?
Maru choked on the oversalted rice, which he was trying to swallow. Koki approached him and hit him on his back, helping him to get rid of the food stuck in his oesophagus.
-You said what?- asked Nakamaru, rubbing his stinging eyes.
-On Junno’s party. I saw it. He had kissed with Jin. You asked Jin to stop.
-What are you... ah!- he finally realised what Tanaka meant.
Ba, he also understood why he has been recently avoiding him.
-Koki... Are you… jealous?
Tanaka looked at him with big eyes, a little bit shocked.
-Me?- he spat out slightly exaggerating his reaction..- Why do you think so?- he asked, turning around.
-You do are jealous!- noticed amused Nakamaru.
-It’s not funny.
Maru approached him instinctively and hugged him. He recalled the conversation with Kame when he had told him they’re the same. Now he knew who did he mean. He fancied that Koki has a crush on Jin but he was trying to shuffle off this fact. He was jealous, too.
-I’m not physically attracted to Kame- he murmured directly to his ear.
Koki turned back and put his hand on his nape, starting to kiss him. At the beginning it looked like he was asking for permission, so Maru quickly took the initiative. He deepened the kiss, pulling Koki as close as it was possible. He tangled his fingers in Tanaka’s slightly sleek blonde hair and started to finger-dry it. Koki let out a quiet, throaty moan.
-So fast?- asked amused Maru, breaking the kiss. Both of them were breathing heavily.
-Very funny- mumbled irritated Koki and grabbed his hand. He was looking for the bedroom door for a while, which amused Nakamaru even more. He ignored an indignant scream, ‘I’m here for the first time!’ and let Maru guide him. At last they finished up in bed, undressing and kissing each other hungrily. Both of them had problems with breathing but simultaneously they didn’t want to pull away. When Maru was reaching for Koki’s boxers, the telephone rang. Tanaka put his hands in his lover’s pocket and pulled out the phone, answering it.
- The number…aww… you're trying to reach… issss currently un…aaaavailable - he was saying to the receiver, trying not to moan, while Maru was teasing his cock with his lips.- Please…eeee….try again….lllater.- He hung up and threw the phone under the pillows.- Fuck, Maru.
Maru only smiled and moved away, rising his hips and allowing Koki to easily remove his pants.
-Do you have...?- began Tanaka and looked at Nakamaru.
-Look for it- answered brightly Yuichi.
He leaned on his elbows and watched as Tanaka was burrowing through all the drawers and wardrobes looking for the lube. Being bored, he started beatboxing. At last Koki turned around, smiling devilishly. He leaned closer to Maru and silenced him with a long, demanding kiss.
-You know it has always turned me on?- asked Koki looking at Maru with desire in his eyes.
-No, I don’t know, but it’s nice to be aware if it. Are you going to do something or just talk?
Tanaka smiled. He didn’t know that side of Nakamaru. He had always thought that Maru is a quiet, calm type and he turned out to be such a good tease. He liked it. Once again they were kissing, after a while Maru’s lips began to kiss Koki’s jawline and then attacked the neck. He left quite a visible mark on the right side of it. Then it was Koki’s turn to take the initiative, so he attacked one of Maru’s nipples with his teeth. He began to suck him and then heard a loud moan being a mixture of pain and pleasure. He opened the bottle, poured the liquid into his palms, and inserted first finger into Maru. He saw a grimace of pain on his face, but Maru didn’t protest at all. He plunged his tongue into Nakamaru’s parted lips as his fingers grabbed his erection. He felt as his hands were embracing him, while he was putting his finger in and out his ass faster and faster. Shortly, there was a second finger inside, then third. Soon in the whole bedroom were heard their moans, as Koki pushed his cock inside Nakamaru. He was constantly looking at Maru, making sure if he should stop. Yuichi though reached his hand out and tangled it into Koki’s hair. He pulled him closer, wanting to feel him even closer and deeper. They started to kiss and Maru didn’t even need to say what he wanted. Tanaka began to move, gradually increasing his speed. Koki felt he was very close. He gritted his teeth because he didn’t want to come first. His hand reached for Maru’s aching member and he tried to synchronize it with his thrusting. Finally, he felt as Nakamaru’s hole tightened around him and he came, too. He pulled out of him and laid next to him, trying to come back to reality. Maru hugged him, still heavily breathing.
-It was a good sex- he said bluntly.
If he wasn’t too weak to react, he’d probably choke on his own saliva. It wasn’t the Nakamaru Yuichi he knew, but… He was more and more fascinated with that Maru who he was able to get to know now.
-Yeah. Absolutely- mumbled Koki and pulled Maru closer to kiss him.
-I’m going to take a shover and then eat something- said Maru, pulling away from Tanaka. He reached under the pillow and took out his mobile phone.- You had talked with Jin- he said calmly, looking at his call history.
He got up and disappeared in a bathroom. When he was sitting in the kitchen eating now cold meal prepared by Koki, he heard a scream.
-YUICHI! HOW AM I TO SHOW UP TOMMOROW WITH THIS?!
Nakamaru laughed. Tanaka just noticed a big red mark on his neck.
-IT’S NOT FUNNY!
Koki’s face turned red with rage as he entered the kitchen and sat in a chair next to Maru.
-Why the fuck have you done it to me?
-I marked that now you’re mine. It’ll disappear in a few days, don’t worry- he cheered him.- For the time being, you could wear scarfs or keffiyeh scarfs and so on.
-Let’s specify. We’re together and it wasn’t only an accidental quickie, was it?
-Indeed- Maru nodded.-So... How about a second round?
-Do you have enough energy?- asked Koki, recollecting in which circumstances they finished up in this flat.
-Of course. By the way, I’m now on top.
Tanaka stood up and Nakamaru started pushing him towards the bedroom. It was when Koki finally fully understood the meaning of Maru’s words, but he didn’t have arguments convincing enough to protest.
A few months later Jin was finally to fly to the USA. They took time off work in the afternoon, called off all the interviews and meetings to see him off. They were sitting in a pub talking and looking back on the old days. Suddenly, Junno, Koki, and Ueda disappeaared somewhere, while Nakamaru was pretending to write a mail on his mobile phone. Kame sighed and took the letter out of his pocket giving it to Jin.
-What’s this?- asked Akanishi.
-A letter- mumbled Kamenashi and rolled his eyes.- Read it after boarding a plane.
-Mhm.
Jin make a move to open the envelop. Kame grabbed his hand to stop him.
- When you’ll be on a plane - he repeated.
-Man, I still don’t understand- snapped Koki, stopping back- why didn’t you want us to see you off at the airport?
-It’s too soppy- said Jin. He nodded his head to Kame and discreetly hid the envelop in his jacket pocket. - Besides, I have to arrive at the airport at five a.m. so who of you would want to get up so early?
-Here you have a point- confirmed Ueda.
-Anyway...Good luck!-snapped Junno and picked up his beer mug.- Return to us as a Big American Star or else we’ll kick your ass.
They all agreed and raised a glass to it. Nakamaru’s mission was successful, they were parting in friendship.
Kame was taking a hot shower when he heard an insisting knock on the door. He deeply sighed. This day exacted him a high price. From the morning, they were in such a rush to make it and see Jin off. Then he had to get rid of fear and gave Akanishi his confession. It was only 7 p.m. but he has been already extremely exhausted. Hot water relaxed him and now someone wanted to disturb him. Irritated, he wrapped the towel around his hips and put a bathrobe on his shoulders. He made his way to the door, making as much noise as possible to show his displeasure. He opened them quickly, not even looking who is he opening them for.
-WHAT?!- he snapped.
-I...
-Jin...?- asked Kame, visibly stunned. - What are you doing here? You should be packing now. Or already being asleep... You’ve got a flight in the morning.
-I know. That’s why I’m here.
-What?
Without unnecessary excuses, Akanishi took out an already opened envelope from his pocket and throw it on Kame. Kamenashi felt as if his heart’s been broken into thousand pieces. Jin was angry at him because of these feelings.
-Why haven’t you told me before?!- shouted Jin.
He came in, shoving dombfounded, devastated, and at the same time shocked Kazuya and slammed the door behind them. When Jin started to kiss him, Kame immediately surrendered. Time didn’t count anymore.
They’re lying in Kame’s bed. Kazuya’s fingertips were wandering slowly over Jin’s naked chest and he was inhaling his lovely scent. He tried to make a mental note of it the best he could.
-Why haven’t you told me earlier?- Akanishi asked reproachfully.
-I’m a turtle and I notice some facts very slowly - murmured Kame. He tried to turn away and back away, but Jin pulled him closer.
-When?
-When you told me you’re leaving.
-You had half a year if not longer. Why now?
-I didn’t want you to stay because of me. My place is here and you… You must give it a try, mustn’t you?
-Don’t go to sleep tonight. Don’t go to sleep until I’m here. Let’s talk. We won’t see each other for a long time.
Kame nodded. He clinged to Jin and started to kiss him as though there’s no tomorrow. Akanishi wrapped his arm around his waist and deepened the kiss, wanting to remember his new boyfriend. When the hour of their parting came, Jin left the bed and dressed himself. Kame did his best not to cry like a child.
-Kazu-chan. Don’t cry. I’ll be back- he said, although tears were gathering in corners of his own eyes. It will last, but I’ll be back and I’ll be someone better. Just for you.
They pecked. As if they’d do it everyday. When the door closed, Kame embraced his pillow and suddenly he felt that he doesn’t feel like crying anymore. It wasn’t like they’d be parted forever. He knew Jin’ll come back to him. He’d known from the beginning what was in the envelop. He only wanted to make sure. And thanks to the fact he had ignored Kame’s request and read the letter before entering the plane board, they gained few wonderful hours.
Maru was squating on the couch. Everyone felt slightly down, but they tried to get used to the thought Jin is not among them anymore. Kame entered the dressing room, having quite a good mood. He sat on the couch next to Nakamaru. Near them immediately appeared Koki who wasn’t strictly convinced that there’s nothing between Maru and Kame.
- You were right. I should’ve told him earlier - he stated.
-I’m always right. Koki no, we’re not planning our secret rendezvous!-cried Maru when he noticed his boyfriend has been eavesdropping them.
The fact they are together was generally known even before Koki asked if something’s going on between them. When Koki hung up, Jin shouted as he might, although he was in a crowded Jimusho place. Nonetheless, they don’t resent him as long as between them everything was alright.
