Long Time Gone...
So, I don't think I've written a proper entry in a while. I've just been REALLY busy trying to find a job out here...
I have a couple of interviews set up next week, so I'm hoping something good comes out of that! One is with a credit card company, at their call center, and the other is at a temp agency. I know, temp agency, not a real job, and they can't always find you work, but it's helpful. Right now I'm just waiting on the status of my unemployment. I have to go to Kinko's tomorrow...er today, (Sunday) and print out some paystubs from my last job and get them faxed over to them so they can go off of that information instead of the job that's trying to fuck me out of the money I deserve.
See, at my last job, I was sexually harassed by an older male co-worker. He told me he wanted me to give him head. Then laughed about it.... I didn't think it was funny. So, I filed a complaint about it. From day one of filing that complaint, I felt like I was walking on egg shells there. If I was, for example, 3 minutes late, I would be written up. But other employees could walk in, 15 to 20 minutes later and be told, "Just get here sooner," and nothing would be done about it. I got written up twice BECAUSE I was late 2 times. Plus I called out sick one day. There was this one person there who called out once every week, and she was still working there when I tried to transfer to a store in CA. Then I get a call from them telling me that they terminated me, and they put me in the system as non rehireable... never told me a reason. I can only assume it has to do with the Sexual Harassment. That's my guess.
Anyway. Yeah, hopefully I can get the job at the call center for the credit card company, that would be really cool. The pay is good, the only thing is that it's about 25 miles from where I live, but.. not a big deal, I used to live 40 miles from my last job, and I still had money to spend after setting aside for gas, insurance, rent and utilities, and cell phone, so..I should be ok...I will say this... my car needs a tune up, and another oil change. Last Sunday, on a whim...and I was drunk, decided it would be cool to drive 7 hours to Reno, NV! I didn't make it all the way. I sobered up after a power nap on the side of the road, and was like, "Ok, I'm going home." So, I turned around and started driving home. So, I wasted $58 on gas. Blah. OH! And, I got a speeding ticket on the way home in Esmerelda County. That's one of the counties in Nevada that survives off of speeding tickets. So, I'm helping their economy. The ticket is only $97. So, in total, the trip cost me $155, and one point on my drivers license. It was my first ticket in 7 and a half years. My last ticket was for speeding, and I got pulled over on my 22nd birthday. (FUCK YOU PIGGIE!) Anyway, thanks for listening to my rant! WOO! haha. But yeah, that's what I've been up to.
