[Luke glances at a sheet of paper in his hand, then looks over the communicator. Oh yeah, the video function is on. Well, his last announcement was a video too, so he might as well keep the thing going.]
Good morning, everyone. This is about the expedition.
I've managed to get food and medical supplies for the trip. We'll have enough to last for a month, so that should cover any emergencies. [He tucks a bit of hair behind his ear, but it escapes and dangles in his eyes again. He needs another haircut, oops.] Everything I've looked at says that we'll probably be sailing for a while, not just to get to the barrier itself. Thankfully, I found a boat, a captain, and a crew that are willing to work with us. [That was pretty expensive, even for a rich kid, but he doesn't mention that.] Everyone helping with the barrier but not actually going with us will be taking a smaller boat back to shore.
So... we'll be moving in two and a half weeks. That's September 4th. We'll be gone for at least two weeks, maybe a little more depending on what we find out there. That's enough advance warning to make sure you get time off, if you work, and hopefully get any weapons and whatever you need.
Let me know if you still have questions about this.
[Ugh, there's something else about that, too.]
While we're gone, I'll need someone to run the
Hymns of Lorelei. Most of the cooking staff is going with me, unfortunately.
-- Tyr, you've been there for a while, right? Do you think you can handle managing it while I'm gone? If not, I'll ask someone else. And Yeager will be running the kitchen, too, so if Katara and Jim could help him out, it could work.
Oh, if there's someone watching this who wants to work in a restaurant-- especially cooking-- let me or Guy know.
[He leans over and shuts off the feed.]
[ooc: If you're confused, see
this announcement. It's not too late to sign up. Also, if you're a castmate, expect to have been briefed on this already.]
