[Just in time for the new year, a few people will find some familiar cards sitting in their rooms, or their mailboxes, or wherever Luke remembers to put them. Each is unsigned, but attached to a package of extremely expensive chocolates wrapped messily in garish, sparkly holiday wrap.

Yes, the incoming new year is always something worth celebrating.

I never thought I'd see it this far from home. But... I have new friends to celebrate with. I'm pretty happy.

And that's a wonderful way of seeing it. If anything, friends by your side will make any event a fruitful one.

It feels different. Special. I'm not the same person I was a year ago.

It's kinda silly, but I'm excited all of a sudden.

It does feel like things have gone quickly. The calendar here is shorter than ours back home. They have nice holidays here, though, don't they?

I think you're right. If this is the twelfth month, and we're about to celebrate the new year... there's a whole month missing. That's weird.

Yeah, the holidays aren't that bad. It's... nice to be able to celebrate them with friends, and not worry about the Outer Lands falling or something like that.
