Natalie walks down the street carrying a sack of groceries. She was heading to her hotel room at the angel square hotel. She lived alone ever since John was shot in the line of duty by the evil carlo hesser. They had only been married a year and he had been taken away from her. It had been over a year since this occured. She didn't want to move back to llanfair she wanted to stay at the hotel where the memories of her and John were the strongest.
Nash was also walking down the street the opposite way of Natalie and holding a sack of groceries. Nash was heading to his loft. He stayed in Llanview to be near his baby girl Lily. He had lost Tess almost a year ago. When Jess was integrated and decided she wanted neither Nash or Antonio. She did allow Nash to help raise his daughter after five months of denying the child was mothered by Tess and fathered by him. He lived alone grieving for Tess and living for Lily.
The two lost souls walked alone heading to there homes. As they walked past each other paying little attention to anything around them they bumped into one another. Natalie's sack of groceries fell to the ground and split down the side it's contents going everywhere. Nash's sack of groceries did the same. "I'm so sorry. This is all my fault." Nash said bending down to gather the groceries. "No, it was mine I wasn't paying attention." Natalie said also bending down gathering groceries.
The groceries mixed together when they fell. The two sat on the ground sorting them out. "Soap opera weekly?" Nash smiled waving it at her. Natalie smiled as she took it from him. "I'm curious what happened on Days of Our Lives." "Newsweek?" Natalie said looking bored. "There's some useful info in that book." Nash said taking it away. Natalie rolled her eyes. "Yes, we all need to know what the president had for lunch last week." "Ooh chocolate frosting. Yet I see no cake mix lying around." Nash said. "Comfort food." Natalie said snatching it away, "The cake mix is unneccessary." Nash laughed, "Oh of course you don't need cake to have cake." "Well, if you say it that way it sounds stupid." Natalie said laughing.
The two reached for the velvetta cheese. Their hands touched together and they looked up at each other staring into one another's eyes. They moved in and kissed each other passionatly as if it were meant to be. They broke the kiss and Nash looked at Natalie, "wow" he whispered. Natalie nodded and returned the comment, "wow". They removed their hands from the cheese. Natalie tried to shrug off the kiss, "Um that's my cheese." "No, it's mine." Nash said looking confused "I bought it." Natalie looked over to the side and picked up another box of velvetta cheese. "Oh, look at that we both bought the same item."
Nash smiled, "Brought together by cheese." Natalie laughed, "That was so lame." They kissed again. Natalie looked at him, "Ah, the power of cheese." "Now THAT was lame." Nash said. Natalie smiled, "Shut up and kiss me." "Yes ma'am." They kissed each other again. The start of a very cheesy, but great relatioinship.
