Buffy, Connor and I had shared our feelings over cappuccino at a local Starbucks. We wouldn’t have been enjoying the caffeinated goodness if we weren’t sure that we had killed all of the demons in any proximity to us. We didn’t find any and we had coffee. The coffee followed what from Buffy, had to be considered a nervous breakdown at the Santa Monica pier where we saved a group of teenagers enjoying the very early morning hours from vampires.
Buffy expressed remorse over losing Willow. How could she not? Willow was her best friend and all of the slayers knew that. She expressed a bit of outrage over finding about that Faith had been with her ex-boyfriend, who of course, was Connor’s father and after talking about that and talking about slayers that shouldn’t be gone from the World and were, she talked about how she was in love with Spike.
I had never met Spike and had questions about her involvement with the Immortal, who by reputation was somebody that no woman would want to give up, but because of Spike being alive, which was another secret not very well kept along with her relationship with the Immortal by Andrew, no less, my watcher…she had left him. Buffy couldn’t wait to get home to see Spike.
I couldn’t wait to get to the hotel because of Connor, although I didn’t know if he wanted me or if I was ready to give him what he wanted if he did want me. He was cute in a boyish kind of way, which I couldn’t resist and he had super-powers, which was something that was very crucial at this point and now was a reality, for dating guys without powers seemed to me like it would be hard. How many guys wanted to be puny in comparison to their girlfriends? Before Connor, there weren’t exactly any guys out there for me, which presented problems in my nine months as a slayer, not that I had time to date. I didn’t dig the idea of dating a vampire, and besides, they were all evil except for Connor’s father, Angel and Spike. Now, there was this cute guy, a little younger then me, sure, well. He was only two and a half, but he was almost twenty where it counted.
In the Starbucks, he described his life after going to a hell dimension and then described his new family, who he would remain close to. I had more respect and yearning for him now, then ever before. He was so well adjusted despite all of that hell. I wanted to give him more reasons to be well adjusted, and be happy and to stay far away from that evil that he had in him before Angel did the spell that gave him the new life.
On the way home, he described how he was very fond of my muscle tone, in detail and it was a sure sign that he was attracted to me. Buffy witnessed me grab his ass, just for fun, but also to gauge his reaction and told us to get a room as we got near the Hotel.
He grabbed mine too, and it was mine turn to show him that I was definitely interested. I made him keep his hand there and might have flexed the glutes a little for effect. As he touched me, I looked into his eyes and he into mine. I told him without words with my eyes, that he was all mine tonight and as it turned out, we had a lot of rooms, as Buffy had implored us to get…to choose from. I took his hand and led him upstairs. I took him the third floor. I closed the door after he had come in and pinned him against the door. I liked another thing about him. He was my height. I could just eat him alive right now and as I pressed my body against his, I found out something else that I liked about him…pressing into me…you get the idea.
“Do you think that you can handle me, Connor?” I asked him, playfully before kissing him.
