Who: Lorne and anyone else who wants to join
Where: In Louisana, going to a small city named Arcadia, between Bon Temps and Shreveport
Status: OPEN
Lorne touched down in Shreveport, Louisiana. His plane was delayed due to bad weather in Texas, and the limo Wolfram & Hart had waiting for him for his midnight arrival was there. ~WHEW..I'm totally beat. I hope my buddy from LA answers his phone, and can show me where this perfect place is, for the new Caritas.~ He nodded to the driver, and sat inside the plush limo and poured himself a scotch on the rocks. He flipped his cellphone open, making the call that would set his new venture in this state in motion.
"Yeah, Axelrod, baby..It's Lorne, and i'm in town. Hope this isn't too late for you..No, no..I'm wired from the flight and want to see this joint you've found. It's in Arcadia? Ummm..How far is that from the airport? Oh, not far. Good. I'll meet you there in an hour, pal."
Snapping the phone closed, he leaned back in the soft seat, and gave a sigh. He was soo excited to be opening a new Caritas, and while he'd really miss LA..He woulden't. He thought naming the new venture after his twice-demolished ones in Los Angle-weird, but then realized THIS was a new start. Perhaps a French name? He mulled it over, finishing the rest of his drink. ~Charite'.~ The French equivilent of Caritas
made him smirk. Why not? He was providing a service to those that the average human coulden't, or woulden't do. At least not yet, not for all supernaturals. He was suprised that the drive went as quick as it did, but in less than 45 minutes, he stepped out into the darkness, to see his old friend from LA. A demon from the Augermaft dimension, he smiled and looked at the large building, what must have one been a decent-sized restuarant. The windows shuttered tight with plywood, he looked at Axelrod, and gave a knowing wink.
"Still have the knack for getting where you want? I'm dying to see this on the inside!" He watched his friend take his forefinger, and slide it into the lock, the flesh yielding and morphing into a decent skeleton-key. With a soft ~click~ the front door was open, and Lorne stepped inside.
It most DEFINITELY had character. It was a greasy-spoon and honkey-tonk written all over it. THAT would -have- to go, he mused, realizing there was still a good, undamaged long wooden bar. "okay, that stays..everything else gets a makeover by yours truly. There's where the stage can be, and there is, a small spot that would be good for a band, if we decide on having an open-mike night for bands. Haven't really thought that thru, as of yet.."
He murmured as he walked about, seeing the renovations in his head. But, most importantly, was the perfect middle distance between Fangtasia in Shreveport, and the reported new Hellmouth in Bon Temps. It was perfect. He'd get both crowds, if he played to the desires of both.
"Axel-babe! It's fantastic! Just what I wanted to get, even IF it's a total fixer-upper. Here, like I promised. For all your hard work."
Inside Lorne's purple velvet jacket, he pulled out an envelope with 5 grand cash inside. He handed it to his friend, shaking his knobby, clawed hand. "If you want a job with me, all you have to do is ask. I could use a good demon like you for a bouncer. Hope you don't mind Vampires?" He let that thought sink in, and then turned to leave and go back to Baton Rouge for the night, and pay off the other people needed for the transaction to happen. Then, he'd call a demon contractor to start renovations ASAP. He'd hope to be up and running in a month.
Happy to have found THE PLACE, Lorne poured himself another scotch on the rocks back inside the limo. He had one more call to make.
"Angel? Yeah, i'm here, and things look -great- in these parts. I've got some papers to sign, demons to pay and the work should start in another day. Hope all of you guys can come out soon. Ohyeah? Well, hopefully in a month. Okay..I got it. What do you mean, zebra-striped walls are bad here? Too tacky? Fine. I'll call you soon, tall, undead and handsome in a few. Night!"
"That vampire is NO fun whatsoever." Lorne downed the rest of his drink in one big gulp.
