(The call is made in the morning, if that's alright.)ishikawa_juusanJanuary 19 2011, 00:34:15 UTC
[After an hour of practicing kata in an effort to ease the burning shame that came in fleeing from the vicious "red-eyed oni" whom had attacked him, the young boy settles down and finds himself inevitably distracted by this dream of Javert's. He spends the next minute frowning at the screen uncomprehendingly - wasn't this dureimu-beri supposed to be like a telephone? - unaware that by cautiously poking a button, he has placed a call to the Inspector.]
(Of course!)chose_deathJanuary 19 2011, 05:53:46 UTC
[Javert responds to this call almost immediately, recognizing the name on the caller ID as "That Madman Who Has Been Alluding The Authorities For Some Time." Despite his clipped, businesslike and cold manner, his eyes are darting about the feed like a hawk, absorbing every minute detail for a hint of where this man is hiding away.]
[The kid starts at the sudden sound of Javert's voice, not having expected one of the hairy foreigners he just saw in the video to respond to him. How does everyone know how to contact him, he wonders? He sets aside the thought for a moment, his brow furrowing.]
Surrender...? [Goemon draws Zantetsuken closer to him, his expression sobering. But in spite of his attempt at adult-like composure, it's clear from his slightly sharpening breathing and the way he squeezes the sword's scabbard that he has come away rattled from his encounter with Wrath, and is especially wary of what any unfriendly-looking foreigner's intentions may be.] ...Why?
Pretend there's a "YOU" in that tag up there...chose_deathJanuary 22 2011, 18:09:19 UTC
[Javert's stare sharpens, and his brow furrows to a deep trench. His voice is thick with cold suspicion.]
What the devil have you done to yourself? You are either a greater idiot than I imagined. Or...
[Javert grimaces fiercely. It is possible that Goemon is crafty enough intentionally chose to regress to escape the clutches of the law, but unlikely, from what the Inspector knows of him.
How he expects the boy to answer is unclear. In fact, it is a more appropriate question for the adult Goemon than a child. Javert lapses into contemplation, his gaze drifting low.]
[He purses his lips at the words 'greater idiot than I imagined', anger flaring in his eyes. Normally he'd show respect to his elders, but with some feelings of xenophobia surfacing and the words "greater idiot than I imagined" rubbing him the wrong way, he speaks out before he can catch himself.] I am not an idiot!
(ooc: A little note, but given a thread that was ongoing at the time and is now finished (at little differently than how I anticipated,) pretend in my first post that it doesn't say Kid!Goemon's feeling ashamed about anything. But he's still anxious.)
