[Some more rummaging and some less understandable mutters, then she starts ranting again, presumably more to herself this time as it's all in French.]
I truly can't believe this! None on any of those lovely shops on deck 8, and now none here! What on Earth am I supposed to do? This whole affair is unconventional enough already, but if I can't even find a ring.... Oh, this boat! I really do hate it sometimes. How are we supposed to even attempt to relax or try to live normally when all these terrible things keep happening? It's quite impossible, and if knew where to find him, I would go and tell M. le capitaine myself, right now!
