That's because they're not here yet...

[ OOC | He's not recognizing them as characters, just what nationality they claim. Unless you mean you can fourth wall with him, in which case, go for it. ]

((OOC: Yeah, I figured. ...A bit. Minato... sort of 4th walls all major fandoms, since he's from modern day Japan. |D; I try to be subtle with it, and at most he'll just know about others better. I'll have him go ahead and be already aware of the fact that Korea is a personified country, if you're giving the green light, o/))

[... ... So he was on of these... Country people? In the flesh? .A. Caller ID says...

Yep.] You're Korea?

[ OOC | A-OK! As long as he doesn't say that Korea's an imaginary personification, it's all good. Any other fandom recognition would be hilarious~ ]

I'm Korea! How come nobody believes meeee?

((OOC: TEMPTING. With the Hetalia cast. But he will NOT mention to people they're fictional characters, unless something big forces it. |Db;))

...It may be because of the nature of worlds that we're from. A majority are from Earth, but regardless of our race, timeline, and technology levels, some things remain constant.

The fact that there are people personified as countries, however, is... unheard of. It's a unique case, which is why maybe everyone's more skeptical. ...Does that make sense? [...This is kind of tricky to explain without going too far, ;;]
