Personality ★ Yong Soo is an energetic and upbeat individual. He’s passionate and loud, sometimes obnoxious, and very physical. He has no qualms showing off his body, walking around with minimal clothing, or touching others. He asks permission just to be polite, but he’s so set in his ways that he’ll do anything to get his way that he’ll even threaten to send blackmail videos. Yong Soo tends to bottle up his disappointment even though it shows clearly on his face. He's definitely a character of emotion, unable to hide secrets or keep them.
Yong Soo has an ego the size of Seoul’s population when it comes to his world class dramas and Hyundai. He claims to have "awesome Korean technology" but some of it is actually just Japan’s with a Hyundai sticker over it. He easily says that something does not belong to him when it doesn’t work (it does, he just believes it’s broken) and peels off the sticker. He’s often not the originator as he claims to be. He’s attempted to steal when he can’t get his way, such as taking off with Confucius and kanji after visiting his brother Yao over New Year.
Yong Soo has a presence that sucks other in like whirlpool and leaves them in a state of awkwardness. Most of the confusion is caused by his tenancy to say blunt things, in the exact moment and structure the thoughts formulate in his head. In fact, his habit of saying things often lead to worse situations because of his inarticulate rationale and he's too dense to grasp those of others. At the core, it's not so much that he's an idiot than it is he jumps to his own conclusions and accepts them as the sole truth. He's persistent, nosey, and freezes up when things don't go according to plan.
Despite his quirks, he's polite and respectful to elders, having a proper disposition to those socially superior. Those that don't know him would mistake him for the calm, cool looking man that appears in his photos (which were taken while he was asleep). For the most part, he becomes serious with work and will focus his complete attention when it is demanded of him.
Abilities ★ He can run at the speed of Hyundai. Actually, I'm quite serious. While I could probably write at length about this theory, I'll just throw the simple fact he can outrun Yao out there. Take it how you will. Physically, he's also very fit thanks to his military experience.
He has the uncanny ability of twisting things to fit what he thinks. This is truly a skill.
If there's one thing Yong Soo can do right, it's a massage. Unfortunately, he tends to go overboard with it. If you hear "massage" and think "service", Yong Soo will give you the massage of a lifetime.
His hair curl reflects what he feels. It's his "Korean Spirit". When he's happy, The Curl is happy. When he is feeling down, The Curl feels down.
Affections ★ Korea's quick to jump into this so...ANYTHING. In fact, if you'd like to plot something out regarding this, feel free to contact me! Kissing, groping, gettin' hot and heavy -- it absolutely doesn't matter to me. Go for it!
Fighting ★ Korea doesn't start fights, but he might provoke them without knowing it. In other words, he probably deserves the punch. You can fight with him but he'll probably fight back. Injuring and killing him is alright with me, just tell me beforehand if you'd like to.
Other permissions ★ Feel free to read his mind. I don't mind fourth walling at all. Korea's pretty much an open book anyway. The only thing I ask you don't bring up is North Korea. It's a sensitive subject and Himaruya has not and probably will not address it. However, I'm not really that sticky so if it comes up, I'll definitely tag back.
