10 Things You Should Know About Chord Overstreet
There's no new information here, it's just a compilation of facts taken from Chord's past interviews. However, I don't think those pictures above were ever posted, so enjoy. :) #7 is slightly spoilery.
1. Chord is his real name! He is the third child in his family, and there are three notes in a chord.
2. Chord is 21 years old, born on March 17, 1989.
3. Chord is a true Southern gentleman, born in Nashville, Tennessee.
4. Chord is 100% single. You may have seen those photos of Chord and Rumer Willis holding hands, but don’t worry. Chord has said that he and Rumer are “just friends.”
5. Chord’s father, Paul Overstreet, is a country musician who has scored two #1 hits and written songs for Randy Travis and Kenny Chesney.
6. Glee isn’t Chord’s first TV gig. He appeared in the pilot of No Ordinary Family and an episode of iCarly.
7. His character on Glee, Sam, was originally intended to be gay so he could become Chris Colfer’s (aka Kurt) boyfriend. However, after producers saw the chemistry between him and Dianna Agron (Quinn), they changed the plotline.
8. Chord is good at impressions. He does George Bush, but his favorite is Matthew McConaughey, which the writers wrote into the show after he did it on set.
9. Chord would love to do a country song on Glee in the future. Stay tuned!
10. Chord will make a jump the big screen next year, starring in the movie The Warrior with Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz.
