we can be heroes/ just for one day....
just thought i should check in....
i am recently returned from beautiful, downtown sea-tac, home of the venerable 29th norwescon. my original plan was to go up on friday night to participate in an rpg scenario created by the erstwhile kingcaddilac for the superhero-themed game mutants & masterminds.
but, as Field Marshall Helmuth Carl Bernard von Moltke might say, no battle plan ever survives contact with the enemy. we did not get assembled 'til a little late to start a one-shot scenario--we being cyclometh, robinsnow, darkhpilodox and myself--and the assembled group asked if i could see my way clear to stay one more day. i had already spoken to thomryng and confirmed that he was not gaming saturday. i had no major plans. sea-tac was proving to be quite a pleasant place to be, so i acquiesced....
gaming was quite fun and everybody brought some good interaction from everybody. we hit some room parties both nights. i was ghosting, so the main con was mostly beyond me but saturday, when robinsnow was having some tummy trouble, i drank the polyjuice potion and visited the dance as the infamous rowan shadow wolf!
got a chance to see cryfordawn, one of my favorite people. also ran across scifigal, which was a pleasure as well.
special shout out must go to the lovely and gracious saycestsay who allow me to camp on her floor for two nights (oh! to be back in my bed tonight!). and the sweet and funny selinawoman ameliorated the aches and pains of two nights of floorcamping in her role as my partner-in-crime. and a good time was had by all...!
