Yay! A post!

I'm still here! Just got back from FWA, and I'm back relaxing in the O-town.

Speaking of FWA, it was a blast. I'm really glad I went. Met people, hung out with friends, suited around, and took a *lot* of pictures. Over 4,600 total, which is going to take a good while to go through. I will try and start getting them put up on Flickr tonight, as well as some of them going to FA to keep my account up and doing things. I will be posting more photos than from any con before, and a lot more photos of people I don't really know. This said, if you see your photo and don't want it up, let me know.

Also got some freaking adorable art while I was there. Got a fruit bat and cherry piece by AnimeCat from the art show, and an adorable badge from Tigsie. The best part though was getting this piece by Tigsie.. She had the original laying out on her table and I just couldn't leave without it. So that'll be framed and up on the wall. Got a badge from FauxPaw of my orca, and a pokemon-style badge from Sapphire, which I'll get later. FauxPaw's will come when she visits, maybe...

In other news, I'm building a RepRap. For those who don't know what that is (most likely everyone) it's a Replicating Rapid prototyping machine. Basically, it squirts out melted plastic in layers using a nozzle and xyz table to build parts. You can design something in a 3D program on a computer, and this will build a real life model of it. I have a build log going on over at my personal blag, Tasty Crepes.

Been going to a local hackerspace, FamiLAB. It's a cool place with a bunch of really fun people who love to do geeky things like me. I'm actually going to be building some parts for the RepRap using a MakerBot one of the other members has. I'll crosspost some video here once the thing is up and running to show everyone just what it's doing.

I went to a county auction the other week and randomly bid on a few things. I rarely get stuff from these auctions, but this time, I won 5 Gateway TabletPCs with various issues.
They're specced well: 1.2Ghz Core2Duo ULV 10W 2MB L2 CPUs with 1GB DDR2, 12" Wacom Penabled/touchscreen at 1280x800, SATA HDD, Intel A/B/G wifi, fingerprint reader, all that stuff.
I'll be fixing them up and selling them, so if anyone's looking for a TabletPC for a reasonable price, let me know.

Aside from that it's just been business as usual. I'll post some more stuff later tonight when I start digging through those FWA photos.

Later!
