i wanted to ask you if you had any der blutharsch stuff. i was going to ask for an album recommendation. i just ordered 'der sieg des lichtes is des lebens heil.' any other suggestions?

the one you ordered is probably my personal favorite..however, "the track of the hunted" is definitely a must have. the whole album is great, but track 2 on there is quite possibly the best der blutharsch track *ever* (imo, of course). very war hymnal kind of sound, sad violins, and a distant moaning female voice.. very minimal, composition-wise, but immensely effective.
i don't own it myself, but i've also heard good things about "the pleasures received in pain". i'd like to nab some of the older stuff before i get that, though, esp. "apocalyptic climax".

little addition to the prior post.. if you dig on the der blutharsch material you hear, you might also check out albin's other (and now defunct, iirc) project, the moon lay hidden beneath a cloud. quite a bit more medieval/apocalyptic folk than der blut, but just as interesting.
