Look what we have here

It's been a while since I've posted anything that resembles an update as to how my day-to-day life is going.

I was in LA for Phyllis' birthday in November. It was my 3rd time this year making it out to the Golden State, and I hope 2009 is no different. It bothers me when people always ask what I do in LA, because all I really do is eat. It's a very unglamorous, gluttonous way to travel. I love it!

Karen from NYC and An from SD came to celebrate with us. The belt I'm wearing in the picture didn't fit by the end of our meal at Din Tai Fung.

We took time out of our weekend to watch UT get beat by Texas Tech. Yuck.

The dear loves of my life! I don't see you enough.

Our last night at Osteria La Buca.

Us Texas girls must be incredibly big-faced.

Which leads me to a random note. Maybe it's my jaw that's so huge because my dentist recently noted that my teeth were hauling ass and already shifting. This threw me and him into a tizzy because I had spent two years of my early 20s going through a very awkward and very expensive phase with braces. I started wearing a night guard on Monday because grinding has been has caused my teeth to move. I must have dreams only about eating steak b/c I've already started gnawing my way through the night guard. And speaking of eating...

...more was done when Karen came to Houston for Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving dinner with my family, dinner at Da Marco's, comfort food at Sinh Sinh, and Janae's mom's cooking to soothe our stomachs after sipping some of the Crissy!

Catching the 80s cover band The Spazmatics.

Can you see the resemblance b/w Karen and Annie?

The rest of the months will be wonderful. They'll be stacked with Karen and Phyllis visits. I'll see Phyllis in Houston for Christmas, she'll come here for the Austin marathon for V-day, and I'll be going to NYC to visit Karen for her birthday in March. FABULOUSNESS!
