From a drama to a musical the two who have had lots of activities together: Yasui & Hagiya.
In rehearsal for the musical that starts on the 9th, “Ocean’s 11”, the two called their experience “fresh” and “different from the ordinary”. Well, what was that experience?
Yasui: Around the time this is released is about the time when “Ocean’s 11” starts but for the moment we haven’t even practiced more than the opening bit (laugh). Because of that I’m uneasy (bitter smile). We’ve only practiced two days. (※Interview was at the beginning of May)
Hagiya: We haven’t even met with Katorisan yet (laugh)
Y: But we did meet Yamamoto Koujisan and Mizuki Arisasan just a little while ago, everyone is so adult-like… Because of that, we get the “that’s cute” treatment (laugh).
H: Even Yassu (laugh). For Yassu this must be a new sensation(laugh) ?
Y: Certainly (laugh) There was this sensation in the Kisumai tour but, they are even more adult than Kisumai. But when I saw everyone having fun together and goofing off in their presence, I thought it was okay to join in*.
H: It’s a fun atmosphere. When we just met recently, I thought the tension died but(laugh). The conference room like place is full of chairs, the “chair-duty” members were sitting first but, behind were this great song’s amazing chorus people.
Y: When hearing that super amazing song from behind, we were told to sing first (laugh). Even though we were just meeting, we sang together.
H: After warming up our throats we continued with this cool song, we were singing a pop tune like “tarara tarara” (laugh)
Y: The people in the back were noisy (laugh). But I didn’t miss the “cute” from Mizukisan even though it was said in a small voice (laugh)
H: Really!? I was so nervous that I didn’t catch that.
Y: But I did feel overwhelmed. Everyone was so cool, and so good! We had to become worthy. Especially since Hagichan and I played the role of brothers, and our turns were always together.
H: But isn’t it reassuring since we’re together?
Y: It’s reassuring! During rest time at practice, it must always look like we’re being strange together (laugh).
H: But because everyone is nice, I have the feeling we’ll gradually become sociable.
Y: Right, right. I’m grateful that everyone cares for each other and there are various conversations. I’m into a drama called “Night Teacher” and Mizukisan and Yamamotosan are in that drama. So when I take the plunge and talk to Yamamotosan, talk of the drama might be the first thing out of my mouth~ I’d be pretty happy!
H: For Yamamotosan and Mizukisan, even just standing there they’re like bam! cool.
Y: Kind of an aura? As expected their presence is different.
H: Also isn’t their body balance great? Mizukisan has a super tiny face and good legs. I was surprised.
Y: Katorisan is also tall, I’m worried about being blocked by him (laugh). But outside of this stage, normally we wouldn’t be known so because we have the chance to be seen I’m happy.
H: Moreover, normally we don’t do many jazzy dances, I want to do our best to improve. It’s going to become a great experience.
Y: There’s no doubt about it. Anyway I want to have lots of fun getting to know Katorisan and our other co-stars as well as performing.
H: At any rate, lately we’ve become a perfect combination**, we’re together in “Ocean’s 11”, “SHARK~” and Crea…
Y: I have a really painful role in SHARK~. All of my recollections are dark (laugh)
H: This will come out around the time of episode 7
Y: Ah, the time when I become more and more painful… More over my scenes with Cloud5 are not many. Even if there’s free time, I’m alone. Because it can’t be helped, I try to do handstands and stuff in the waiting room since the filming is so sad (laugh)
H: But the scene at the end of the first episode with Shigeokakun and Yassu was really good I think. When Yassu broke the guitar.
Y: Didn’t I look like Funasshi then (laugh)? No, my guitar-breaking face, what kind of face do you think it was? Since there must have been some sort of extreme emotional build-up, my breathing got rough, and I think I was shaking. I tried it but when I watch myself I see these moments like Funasshi and think “huh?” (laugh)
H: Because it was the first time that I saw that dark Yassu, I thought it was great!
Y: From now I’ll succumb*** to the dark side even more (laugh)
H: Because Kouta’s becoming a delinquent. But “Shark” has been great for learning about acting. The director calls for idealism, I also learned how to create a role’s feeling. In that sense, I think “Ocean’s 11” will teach us a lot more.
Y: I’m happy. Doing this we can do new things. Because I think appearing in “Ocean’s 11” is a really big step up, I’ll work desperately and must absorb various things.
