(no subject)
Is it Thursday already? Goddamn, I have no idea where this week went. Time just seems to fly here. Monday will make three months I've lived in New York City. That's pretty amazing if you ask me. And I'm still kicking and caught up on bills, albeit two (rent and cell phone).
Seriously, I think at least ten of my customers flirt with me on a daily basis. They're all pretty much could be my father, but hey, at least imy appeal is biligual. :)
Speaking of, I had a pretty cool moment today with Arkadiy, one of my coworkers (the only Russian cashier and manager). He is kind of (re)teaching me Russian. He was watching the front end of the store when I was cashing out a woman he apparently knew. He walked over to my register and said, po-russki, "You speak Russian?" and I said yes, and gave the woman her total in Russian. They were both pretty excited. And then I sneezed and Arkadiy taught me "God bless you." I heart Arkadiy. And Vassily. Because Vassily is hot, and I want a hot Russian in my bed. Now. Hahahaha.
I'm taking a break from the "new" ones. Especially James. He came through last night and I don't really think I want to see him anymore. I only invited him because I just love to sleep with a guy next to me, holding me, and I figured he was capable of just that, but apparently not.
Tomorrow on the way to work I am totally buying a Russian newspaper and a Russian dictionary and I'm going to get to translating. I like exceeding people's expectations. Call my job a foreign exchange (only in New York, by the way), and this is homework. :)
OMG, I forgot to mention tomorrow morning with be the first time I eat a bagel...ever! With cream cheese! I'm gonna be really blending in soon! Lol.
