autumn in new york...
it's been such an odd week. saw the decemberists tuesday night at webster hall with kim then headed down to the japanese bar. saw velvet goldmine with the girls (kim, xina, lauren, alex, jess, crystal) and jon for free at the moma (museum of modern art) friday night. afterward we came back to my place and i made dinner for kim and i. we headed down to st. marks place to the japanese bar (yes, again). today was unbelievably unproductive though. i really need to get my shit together.
dasheena called me last night. they (maya and her) went to the fiery furnaces show back home. she called me again today and we spoke for a very long time. as much as i hate to admit it i really fucking miss her. and it just upsets me so much to know that this could all have been avoided if she weren't so stupid. it was nice to talk to her again. she was just getting off of work at gap so she put brandy and jenn b. on the phone. it was nice to hear familiar voices again. people back home are so much nicer. i spoke to maya as well. i miss her so much. i miss a lot of things and a lot of people but i'm glad i left. i really am. how i miss meeting up with her and heading over to huck finns for coffee & cigarettes and really fucking great conversations. i can't wait to go home but i also look forward to my first fall in new york city. it shall be grand.
