A guy at work was preaching the finiteness of the universe, telling us that he would not even hear anyone out who had not read A Brief History of Time. I told him that I had in fact read it, and that Steven Hawking would laugh a computerized, knowing laugh if he heard such fanatic passion for his theories.
Afterward, one of my favorite co-workers whispered to me that as a child, her mother used to give her NyQuil because she wouldn't stop talking about the universe expanding.
