After five chapters, I have now reached Part II of my book, and I think I now realize what I enjoy so much about reading textbooks. After passing this milestone in the text, I find in myself a certain resonating feeling that I've reached a milestone of my own.
Part II is entitled, "The Curved Spacetimes of General Relativity".
For the first part of the book, I have been "taking" a class that has covered many of the same subjects in the text (special relativity). Now, the training wheels are off, and I've moved to a subject that I won't find in detail in any college courses, save one that I believe is only offered in the fall.
I highly encourage reading textbooks for fun.
