Like the way I portray Cynthia? Love it? Hate it? Think it could use some fine tuning? I welcome constructive criticism and praise equally, so feel free to offer either or both. Comments are screened, IP tracking is off and anon-commenting is on!

I, overall, like your portrayal of Cynthia except, weirdly enough, when she interacts with the other Pokemon castmembers. It seems like she gets weirdly possessive of certain characters and a lot of her threads seem to be about 'Lance likes Will more than me!' or 'Lucian did something without telling me!' To me, Cynthia (as the first female champion) is supposed to be independent, strong, and self-assured, not possessive and jealous over really silly things. She is very controlling of the entire cast and it kind of makes playing difficult when I have to balance Lance's needs against Cynthia's to avoid an awkward tension between the characters that I don't really think should be there.

I hope this doesn't come out as harsh or bitchy, because I don't mean it to be! It's just something I've observed while threading and while watching the threading with the other castmembers.

Uh, to make things clear on the Lucian front: Aru and I decided to play them as very close friends, to the point where he was socially inept before meeting her. It's not that she expects him to tell her about every little thing ever, but the party was an issue because she had asked him to keep her company and he didn't tell her he had other plans. She would have been perfectly fine with it otherwise.

Now, about Lance, you honestly have me confused there. If this is about the time she was upset at him, it wasn't because he 'liked Will more than her', but because he vanished without notice for days while under a very stressful situation and she was worried about him. As someone who is supposed to be the opposite of Cyrus, I do play her as an emotionally-oriented character, so she forms bonds with and cares deeply for the people and Pokemon around her. That doesn't make her weak or dependent, though being without most of her Pokemon certainly puts a damp on her strength-- in fact, "never losing the love of Pokemon" and "an ever ( ... )

I have no problems with her being an emotional character -- maybe I worded that wrong? -- but the way the threads have been reading to me is that she's jealous over silly things all the time, that's all. I mean, the party was broadcast over the network on a public filter and the party itself took place in Whipstaff, so there wasn't really a way for her not to know about it, and the 'Lucian is going trick or treating without me' comment seemed a little petty for a relatively mature Champion to say. That's all~ I don't mean this to be bitchy or harsh, just constructive. Like I said, I do like your Cynthia, but it's been bothering me and that was just the most recent example that made me decide to say something about it.

Um, I never said she didn't know about the party, just that she had to learn about it from someone else's post. And I wasn't going to mention anything about this, but since you did bring it up, that did somewhat rub me the wrong way. If it had been Will, that would have been understandable, but it was Lance who gave Negi his consent to have the party there. The least he could have done was to let the others know about it, if not check with them first. They do share the same roof, after all.

But anyway, back to the topic at hand. I honestly don't see how she's doing it all the time, so I'd appreciate it if you could point out other examples so I can try to figure out what it is exactly that you're reading as petty jealousy. Because while I do know you only mean to be constructive, calling Cynthia very controlling of her castmates is not something to be taken lightly, and definitely something that shouldn't last, either.
