[Review] Juliet's Album "Love"

The black one is the prettiest, imo.

Since I'm feeling really better (e-mailed Yes!Asia, Nani is back, me and Bell are resolving the letter problem) I decided to write a review on Juliet's album Love (which is not very new anymore). Juliet is a gyaru-stylish model musical trio (lol) that I like a lot, and I loved this abum (loved, Love... haha), so I'll review it.

Track 1 - Natsu Love.

Their first single. This track is great; more than great, it's romantic, melodic and the girls' voices only make it better. It was the track that got me into them, actually. The song doesn't leave your head never more and you want to sing it on karaoke forever... too bad there isn't an instrumental track of it. D:

Track 2 - Chotto Zutsu.

Even if Natsu Love got me into Juliet (thinking now, it was a long time ago lol), this is my favorite track of the whole album. It is well-paced, fun, groovy and catchy. There is no way of not singing along after hearing two times or so, especially the "chotto zutsu, chotto zutsu de ii kara" part. Again, the girls' voices are great, especially - dare I say - Maiko's.

Track 3 - My Darling.

Natsu Love's B-side. It's a really gyaru-ish song - especially the lyrics - and it's another fun and catchy song. It's the closest they ever got from rap, I think, and it's unexpectedly hard to sing (aside from the chorus). The three of them said that this song was a good example of Juliet's style... I like it a lot. IYGEIHRIORUE

Track 4 - Birthday Party.

"A happy song that leaves you with a light heart and a smile" is a good description for Birthday Party. Even the gloomiest one in the earth can become to appreciate his own birthday after hearing this song. The beat seem to thump on the listener's heart pace, which I think helps making the song more captivating. A really cool track.

Track 5 - mama.

Well... I have a great weak spot on my heart for family-dedicated songs, so what to say about mama? It's also another upbeat song, but the lyrics sound nstalgic and add a soothing note to it. In this song, Yumi's voice is especially great, and reminds me why is she the best singer of the band. Her deep and perfectly tuned voice is impressive, and destroys the stereotype of the model-turns-singer phenomenum.

Track 6 - Kimi ga Suki.

Making the transition betwenn the upbeat songs and the ballads, there is Kimi ga Suki. It's possibly my second favorite track of the album, and Maiko's voice is even greater than normally. But I think that who deserves the spotlight in this song is Hami, who is the weakest in singing, but proved herself singing with a clear and captivating voice. Overall, this track is all about how one feels when in love, and it's perfectly portrayed?

Track 7 - Christmas Bell ~menzu side~.

Ooops, who let this happy song enter in the balad's section? Anyways, who cares, this song is GREAT. Tied with Kimi ga Suki in second favorite. Makes you be happy with everything about Christmas with it's beat and chorus. Another song that gotta' be sung in karaokes all over the world, because it's such a fun to sing it! Oh, by the way, there's no melodic difference between Christmas Bell ~menzu side~ and Christmas Bell ~gyaru side~ (Fuyu Love b-side). I think it's the lyrics...

Track 8 - R.I.P.

Ah, a ballad. Her voices are great, the song is well composed and it's just. Awesome. The chorus is really catchy, and the song is sad in a unusual, melancholic way. It makes my heart clench a bit, especially in the "boku wa iru yo, koko ni iru yo" part. Overall, great and sad song... still a win.

Track 9 - DEAR...LOVE

I don't know why, or how, but this song can be even sadder than R.I.P. It's painful to hear, but not in a "this song is bad" way but in a "omg this song is great so sad omg *cries*" way. Yumi's voice again blows me away... seriously, this girl should had become a singer before. Chorus is great, and sad. ç_ç

Track 10 - Fuyu Love.

Their second single. Initially, when I saw the PV, I was disappointed, because it was not as catchy as Natsu love. But the song grew on me more and more and more and, nowadays, I love it. It passes a different feeling from Natsu Love (and Haru Love, that was realeased after the album), but is as great as the other two. Hami shows her rapper side, and Yumi her harmonization abbilities. A great song and great tie-up for the album! ♥

but but but but i love u giiiirl, bias, review, juliet
