I guess I haven't bothered to update in a while, which is cool. It happens sometimes.
Alicia called me probably two hours ago and left me a voicemail asking me if I had any stuff for a dog that we weren't using that we could give to them, because apparently they've acquired a dog (although she says it's "temporary"). I'd like to know a couple of things.. 1) How they got this dog. 2) If their landlord knows they have this dog, because I think I remember him barely being okay with the cat, then the fish, gerbils, and ferret were randomly added without his permission, and this dog's gonna HAVE to stay outside.. Which I personally don't like anyway, but it isn't like I have a choice in the matter.. I wonder if she alone was responsible for this, or if this dog sort of appeared randomly, or if someone gave it to her, if she picked it up off the street (I know I have a soft spot for animals, but bringing a dog off the street without shots and nothing to bathe it with? Come on, let's use some common sense here, people).. Colin gets out of class at 1:45, so I'll tell him then and see what he thinks.. Then it's off to get a little gas from the Hy-Vee gas station with the, uh, $6 something I have that's barely enough for two gallons, and to my house to maybe get a collar or something.. Then I guess we'll go over there. I called Alicia back and had to leave a message for her because nobody picked up, which worries me a little.. Has she already lost this poor animal? Where on earth does she think it's gonna stay? And what makes her think it's gonna get along with Sophie, the cat I bought Colin for his birthday two years ago? I have absolutely no false hopes about this...
Speaking of false hopes. We did a tryout for a "country" song in vocal show today. It's called "We Can" and apparently was sung by LeAnn Rimes (or whatever) at some point. I tried out, but I was one of six, and considering I'm the fat girl with supposedly no voice for country (thank you very much, Melissa, I appriciate that vouch of confidence). Oh, yay, now she's playing it on the computers (I'm in the cafeteria, by the by, where all the computers have speakers and highspeed). I really do sometimes hate her. I can't help it, she makes it so easy most of the time.
And speaking of Alicia! Suddenly she's my buddy and my best friend and just SO helpful. Which I know she's doing for a reason, and Colin had his theory too.. Which turned out to be right.. that she was just using it as an excuse to try to drop hints to Aaron about getting married, which we all know well enough that he is NEVER going to do.. He claims it's because he doesn't want to get married, but I think he just doesn't want to marry HER, which is perfectly reasonable. Jeeze. Anyway.
Sooo.. June 26, 2007. It'll be an interesting day. Thanks again, Kenj - I appriciate your help.
I guess I have phone calls to make, even though we have no money to work with right now. And as we all know, June weddings are popular. I have a feeling this isn't going to work out like we hope it will.. But then again, nothing ever seems to for us, so it isn't like we won't figure something else out. XD
got back in contact with Jess, by the by, too, which was kind of refreshing.
We have a guest list of .. What, 57 people? I forgot Brandon and .. His girlfriend's name. I forgot. Ah, well. I'll figure it out.
