Heh.

So all might see. This is what I replied to Mr. Bill Davis (whom I still thank for posting something intelligent, no offense to the rest of you). Phil, you've some awesome friends. :D

Mr. Davis,

First of all, I must sincerely say, THANK YOU. It isn't often someone makes a comment to just about anything I say, either here or online, that actually makes me think they know what they're talking about. You obviously DO. You're one of few.

Secondly, I attempted research. However it was late at night and the sites I tried (probably not the most reliable sources) gave me next to nothing information-wise. The bill itself, whether or not it will pass, still irritates me to no end. However, if America truly is the home of the free, then I have the right to criticize what I want, when I want. If I believe, for example, that a TV show is rather stupid without having seen the first episode but having based that conclusion on seeing one or two commercials for said show, my criticism still stands.

And third.

This nation has not in fact preserved ALL of my freedoms and rights (the right to privacy [violated by the Patriot Act], the right to free speech [which applies except when you speak badly of our president or government, which if said to the wrong people or relayed to the wrong people can easily land you a happy visit with the FBI]), but that is a subject I dare not delve into.

Of course, this is also my LiveJournal, and I have the right in it (supposedly) to say what I please about where I please. If my words upset you, Mr. Davis, you needn't read it again. I do not apologize for what I said, although, as I stated previously, I do thank you for providing me with the information I could not find myself.

So after having said that..

On to other things!

I worked tonight. It was interesting, I suppose. I worked with Lindsey, and got to meet the new Lindsey (!!), a 22-year-old married girl that reminds me a lot of myself, only.. More disturbed. Which is okay. I was also late to choir, which didn't appear to matter, and proved myself entirely unawake and confused in music theory, which is fine.

Anyway, let's see. Tonight was a decent night money-wise; we brought in a good deal, over $2000 total for the day which isn't too darn bad! We're having a 40% off sale, which of course means that people are more than willing to pay for the stuff we have. :D I think it was recently referred to (half-lovingly) as a crap store. Which is .. Well, true, though I hate to say it. Still. It's okay. Lindsey (my manager Lindsey, whom from now on shall be Lindsey 1) broke a vase today and we accidentially messed a couple things up, oops. Happens sometimes. I got to see Colin for all of, oh, two minutes today, and as such Kelly thought I walked in late. I didn't, but her loss, I guess. My watch said I still had two minutes. Sure, cutting it a little close, but she said it was five after four when I walked in! It wasn't. ;_; I feel bad about that now. Also supposedly my aunt and one of my cousins were going to stop by (or at least try) to say hi to me, since apparently she asked my mom about me at work (!!).

She didn't.

No loss, though. We were incredibly busy anyway. Which reminds me, apparently Colin borrowed Tony's car to come out to the mall and was going to try and come get me to take me to work, but I bet he was right when he said Mom probably would have thrown a fit -- nothing new for her. I may be an adult, but it's too bad that she won't let me act like one. *Shrugs*

And my neck hurts. I don't particularly know why, but hey.

I'm also tired. I have to work again tomorrow, 4 PM - 9 PM, and Sunday 12 PM - 5 PM. It's going to be SO busy. Fun. :D So that's all for now, I guess. Still waiting for Colin to come home from the shop. Probably still gaming with Tony and JR and that Gary dude that sort of creeps me out. I know Carolyn's at home, but since she's pregnant (!!) and still has a son to raise I guess that's good. I hope she's sleeping, and that Kilik's not being a pain.
