Been A Long Time
It has been a long time since I've updated so here goes.
College has started. Like most freshman, I also think it sucks so far. I miss being home because life was so easy. Unfortunately, now I am responsible for myself. I know I will get used to it, but for now it sucks. I am very upset about my choice of major (vocal performance) right now because I am forced to take so many music classes. Right now I am enrolled in nine classes for 18 credits. Seven of those classes are music classes. One of those classes is for 0 credit, three of them are for 1 credit, two are for 2 credits, and the last is for 3 credits. If you were counting that is 10 credits total. TEN MUSIC CREDITS!!! Maybe it's just me, but that blows. I hate the fact that I have to take so much music right away. I guess it helps a person decide if he/she actually wants to major in music. My other two classes seem like easy A's so at least that is good (intro to sociology and intro to film). In my film class all we have to do is watch movies and take a test after 4 or 5 movies (the test is mostly on our textbook and the profs notes though). Class is actually optional if we can find a copy of the movie or have seen it recently. The food here is ok. I've already learned which sections of the lunch room to avoid (nasty mashed potatoes). The people are ok as well. My roommate is really nice, but quiet. His name is Fue. I think he is going home on most weekends so we probably won't hang out much. I've met one really cool guy from Omaha, Nebraska named Jason. He is a technical theater major. The first day we met he brought his indian flutes over to my room and played them for us (me, sara, bk). It was really cool. He is also in men's chorus with me so I should get to know him fairly well (oh and he also lives on my floor). Overall, right now I'm feeling pretty crappy about college, but hopefully things will get better.
I finally got my laptop when I went home this weekend. It's really sweet! I found a wallpaper of Brian May (Queen guitarist) on the internet that I use now. I was very excited. I also got a printer as well. Dell rocks, free memory upgrade rocks, fast internet at school rocks!!!
