You guys want some cookies?
Andy and I are engaged! I can't say I've gotten fully into wedding planning mode, because I'm kind of (very much) in between jobs right now, and I can't imagine spending those huge amounts of money when I seriously don't know how I'm going to pay rent next month. I've got an interview on Friday, which is huge because things have been so dry out there lately, but it's for a teaching position and I have zero experience with that. The good news is, they know that from my resume, and they wanted to meet me anyway, so maybe I'll learn as I go. Plus, working in a daycare seems preferable to in-home nanny gigs, because I won't be dependent on just one family for my entire income. So cross your fingers for me.
We do have a rough outline for our wedding, though (I mean seriously--back to the important stuff!): it'll be next summer or possibly the one after that, in Ann Arbor, probably outside somewhere, roughly 100 people, with a low-key reception at Andy's folks' place. Being engaged makes watching Bridezillas even better. I'm paranoid about losing my diamond though. I check it all the time.
Rachel from K moved to Madison a few weeks ago, and Andy and I met up with her at the Jazz fest (ick) a few weeks ago. I'm gonna invite her to come watch the fireworks on the golf course tomorrow if she doesn't have other plans. Andy and I like to joke about setting her and Augie up. I have no actual desire to do that, but lately whenever we talk about inviting people places, they're the only two in town, so it cracks me up in my head.
Anyway, I have to put together the calzones for dinner tonight. Chao chao!
