splish splash sweat

I started doing water aerobics again. By again, I mean resuming where I left off when I was 13 years old and accompanying my mom. Luckily for me, the YMCA near the preschool has classes every weekday and it's easy to make it in after the school drop-off. It is, of course, populated by lots of old people. Especially those that are in too bad a shape to hit the regular gym, but there are quite a few spry little old ladies that I have to huff and puff to keep pace with. I would like to make it in 3x/week, but that's becoming my maximum. There's too much to do and usually get in only 2x/week. It'd be much much much easier to do more if there were weekend classes. The classes I do make it to seem to have a different instructor each time. This keeps boredom away and every class almost feels like a new one. The local YMCAs keeps a large rotation of teachers and I've probably seen them all by now, but I see any particular teacher so seldom that it works for me. Back when I did water aerobics with my mom, it was always a drag when a teacher I didn't like kept getting into the schedule but there was no way of getting away from her except to stop doing it. The only teacher here I don't like is the Aqua Zumba person. Nothing wrong with her, she's nice, but I find Aqua Zumba kinda pointless.

Most importantly, cardio fitness is improving. The pool is heated so it doesn't stimulate hunger after workouts. Muscle tone is getting better, especially in the legs.
