Drabble before actual fic update

5:42p.m.

A woman dressed in street clothing stared at the clock as she stayed in her house, sitting right in front of her laptop.

"Annie!"

The curly red-haired woman turned around to find her boyfriend standing at the doorway of her own room.  She smiled brightly.  "Hey, baby."

The tall handsome man with big almond eyes walks into the room and bent down to hug his girlfriend.  "How are you, sweetie?"

"I'm fine, Minho."

Said man pulled away and looked at Annie worryingly.  "Are you sure, sweetie?  Did you take your medication today?" he asked.

She giggled and hesitantly nodded her head.  "Mm."

Minho smiled and kissed Annie's forehead.  "That's good.  I want to surprise you with something."

Annie gaped at her reflection outside the dressing room after trying on a dress.  She wore an ivory, short satin-faced organza dress with tulle overlay and clear high heels that could be mistaken for glass slippers.

"Minho, what's all this for?"  She couldn't help but ask curiously as she turned around to find Minho already paying the salelady for the dress.

He looked up at her and his eyes widened in shock.  "Annie.....you're so beautiful...."

"Minho Choi.  Tell me now why you bought a wedding dress."

Minho sighed and took her hand, smiling at her softly.  "Like I said, it's a surprise."

His girlfriend could only gape at him.  "You mean there's more?!"  She screeched.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I do."

The priest smiled brightly.  "I now pronounce you husband and wife.  You may kiss the bride."

Minho grinned and kissed Annie on the lips as everyone in front of them cheered happily.  Annie gave him a slight glare and a playful shove. All her newly wedded husband could do was smile cheekily and walk her down the aisle.

"A surprise wedding?!"  She shrieked after happily thanking everyone for coming to the park for the ceremony.

"What??  You love me, don't you?"  Minho retorted playfully, then smiled warmly at her.  "Because I love you so much, and I'd like to use this time to spend every moment with you."

As he leaned in to kiss her, all she thought about was the complete bottle of pills that she never took because she felt it was no use.

She had leukemia.

And she wanted to have as much fun as possible and die anywhere except the hospital bed.

The last person she wanted to see was the love of her life.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A year later, Minho carried his 2 month old daughter to the graveyard.  He sat in front of a tombstone, which was marked Annie Brown.  He cradled his baby carefully in his arms.

"Annie, see our little girl?  Leyla is 2 months now, look at her!  She's dressed all in white, like you did on our wedding day,"  Minho started chatting animatedly to the tombstone, as if it was actually his late wife.  Leyla would giggle or whine, as if agreeing or disagreeing with her father's latest updates since they last visited the grave.

"....we really do miss you.  I wish I could take back those days when we first found out about your illness.  I wish you would have the chance to get cured."  Minho smiled sadly, a tear going down his cheek.  Leyla started to cry a bit as well, as if understanding the pain.  "Then again, we wouldn't have had our baby, even when you only had 3 days with her before you passed on.  I don't regret those moments, and I don't regret having our little bundle of joy."

He kissed the tombstone before standing up with his baby to leave.  As he turned to leave, he felt a gush of warm wind pass by him, making him smile and the baby to turn calm.

His watch had read 5:42p.m.
