Bit of an update.
Don't expect much out of me the next few days. Edison Electric tried to kill us. Well... not literally, but close. See, I can't believe that we're the only ones who realize how malicious it is to cut power to a neighborhood at one o'clock in the afternoon in the middle of broiling hot California desert summer. Add in the fact that I can barely control my body temperature, and my wife flat out CANNOT control her temperature, and, well, you can see why not having fans and air conditioners is hazardous to our chances of living. So I'm a mess, and Danielle damn near had to go to the hospital. It was in the upper nineties in the house during the day today, until the power came back on at five-thirty.
"But we put door hangers on all the doors!" the snooty woman told Larime when he complained. "Actually," the worker there on site told Larime afterwards, "the company ignores that a lot and doesn't bother with it."
