Seven Deadly Sins Meme. Let's overshare!
Day One: Pride. Seven Great Things about Yourself
- My broad reference pool. My pool is shallow, I'm the first to admit, but she is wide. It's mainly due to reading a hella lot and being willing to research. So remember kids, if you want to impress random strangers on the internet, read all that you can.
- My steady hands. Not surgeon-steady, but they're willing enough to work on sewing, beading, and crocheting. I can do light shading with ball point pens, where you need that light touch.
- Being self taught in shooping and internets. I'm not where I want to be by a long shot, but for the most part, if I have a cracky idea for an icon or a layout, I can figure out how to make it work.
- Knowing what I'm doing with that whole "writing" thing. I realize that I give myself a lot of shit about my work. However, the comments are positive, and where they're not, they talk about where it can be made better, not about how it sucks.
- My sense of rhythm. I can keep time (also handy for musical sense) and move around enough to fake most songs used to drag me out on the dance floor. I can't relax my movements, though, so I don't look as natural as better dancers seem to be on the floor.
- Being fluent in two languages, being able to figure things out in two more. Something that I don't emphasize because of course I'm going to know two languages, I'm an immigrant. And I don't like saying that I "know" the two others because I'm not fluent. Still, I can read in three languages, with some dictionary help. I know two syllabaries. Mostly.
- Space for Rent Rallying. The fact that I can manage to get my shit together during times of duress (after a lot of panicking and crying, NGL) shows that I can pull though. It... just takes a lot of doing.
Guys, this was hard. I wasn't even as prideful as needed for something like this. Oh, well, I'm sure the other entries will be easier. [/foreshadowing]
