Long over due post
A very long overdue post....
I'm getting Gabi enrolled in preschool. I can believe she is already that age! We tried through her elementary school, but of course she is number 18 on the waiting list. But we found an affordable option for her in Parkville. And Barb and Dennis have volunteered to help us out right now, and I will pay them over the next year. With my own tuition, I just couldn't swing it all.
Our house is great. I never did get around to that whole house-warming party thing. But oh well. We have huge plans, but all involve money, so right now that isn't happening. And none of it needs to be done. I still love my house, my neighborhood, and even my neighbors.
The pile of cats are doing well. Rhiannon and Freyja have adjusted to Fred and George well. Fred and George are huge! Fred especially who must have some Maine Coon in him somewhere. Which I guess means George does too, but Fred looks it George not so much.
Vacation is just around the corner, and boy do I need it. Work has been more and more demanding. Which is what I should expect if I ever want to move up to Assistant Director. But that is still some time off. I am content in Practice Manager 3 right now. My boss is on her 5th assistant, so we shall see. I see a lot of good potential in our newest hire and hope that she will work well with my boss, and we can move forward.
We still need a second vehicle that is driveable, but we need to get Nick's old car paid off before we try to buy another one. (only a few more months) We are looking for a smaller SUV, something Honda CRV sized. The other issue is financing. While our credit is much better than it ever used to be, it's still not perfect, my especially. And well, to just use Nick's isn't an option when you have a mortgage. Because then even though the mortgage is in both our names, they only look at his income will all of our debt! Slowly but sure we're saving up though. And well get there when we need to. Thankfully for the next year we can still work the same shift and drive together. When Gabi goes to Kindergarten, I will need to start working later days since, I will have to take her to school in the morning.
Well speaking of one care, I need to pack up Gabi and go pick up Nick who has been working OT for the past couple of weeks. Most days his partner can bring him home, but he couldn't work late today, so I've got to pick him up.
