I've been feeling really exhausted lately. Well, actually, I'm okay in the morning. I'm at my most charming in Johns' Precalc and then the day sort of dies from there. In Art, I AM a zombie.

Anyhow, I was walking home from the 217 bus stop today and saw this sophomore who was going the other way (His name's Ronak, I think? I have horrible memory when it comes to remembering names) and so we stopped and chatted, as we usually do when we see each other in the neighborhood. According to him, a bunch of people are cheating on AP Bio tests this year--and ruining the "curve."

I'm starting to believe the rumors that Mr. Chan is teaching AP Bio next year. If I were Mrs. Anand, I certainly would feel discouraged if some students weren't demonstrating proper learning attitudes.

Why would anyone cheat on an AP Bio test anyways? The exams prepare students for the big shebang at the end. Cheating just reveals a person's lack of foresight; he or she is willing to sacrifice hard work and the long-term benefit for a short-term exhilaration. Also, there is nothing wonderful or academically praiseworthy about obtaining an excellent grade through surreptitious means. It just shows that a person is stupid and lazy. Individuals without integrity are the bane of society. Think about it. Students take dozens of medical exams in undergraduate and graduate school to demonstrate their knowledge. Would you feel confident having a physician who cheated his or her way through medical school? Obviously not! After all, what if the person accidentally prescribes the wrong dosage and inadvertently poisons you?--this, due to the fact that s(he) had no real clue as to what s(he) was doing and had cheated on the section of the test that covered proper dosages and the such?

Instead of shaking my fist and spewing profanity (which would be useless although self-gratifying)I will instead, quote Scarlett O'Hara--"Tomorrow is another day!"

:D Tea-time!
