this blog post illuminated a great deal of my behavior today. it's about how when you expend a lot of cognitive effort you don't have a lot of will power left. i've been noticing a pattern involving that lately, especially when i'm real tired and don't have a lot of cognitive energy available, which is kind of what i'm paid for. then i come home and i'm pretty drained, and a lot of times i end up doing beers or just watching tv which isn't very rewarding. probably happens to lots of folks and that might be why we all love tv.
i forgot to mention in this lj revival that i'm one of those bike guys now. i love bikes and i want to suck my bike off. the sucking my bike off part is from @degg on twitter. i do love riding bikes around town though and it helps with that cognitive tiredness. it can be a mess though; sometimes your flipflop comes off and you crash your shit into a parked car. i mentioned that already.
