"Are you straight?" (Saptoro 2010)
As above, direct quote from Dr. Agus Saptoro, my hilarious lecturer who has a penchant for some very lame jokes.
Let's start with one fateful Transport Phenomena tutorial. So he was challenging us to answer a question. The person who got it right would be entitled to "Have a coffee with me." Well, there weren't exactly a lot of enthusiastic people battling each other for a cup of coffee with him because a) Transport Phenomena isn't easy, nothing is these days and b) He should have totally said Starbucks Coffee. XD
One of my classmates, Khaliq, bravely offered his two cents. Mr. Agus, after addressing his reply, said, "Sorry Khaliq, you're not my type." To which Khaliq replied, "Well, uh, I'm not exactly a guy's type." HAHAHAHA. OMIGOSH. Hilarity
So on Wednesday, our Unit Coordinator for Mass Transfer Operations came to obtain feedback from us during the Transport Phenomena lecture. After Dr. Tushar received our feedback and left, Mr. Agus came back in and continued his lecture. Now there are many dimensionless numbers involved in transport, there 3 most important, or rather, Mr. Agus' favourite three, are Reynolds number, Prandtl Number and Nusselt number.
Since these numbers are named after a person, Mr. Agus likes to refer to them as "The three handsome guys" So it's always like, "Remember the three handsome guys?" "Always remember the three handsome guys." "Reynolds, the handsome guy." And he likes to emphasise the superiorty of their physical appearances with pictures, like so:
Osborne Reynolds, Ludwig Prandtl and Wilhelm Nusselt from left to right.
When the slide with their pictures came out, he asked us, "So who do you think is more handsome?" Alan, one of the seniours, answered, "Agus!" To which Mr. Agus said, "Are you straight?" with a serious face. HAHAHA LOL. "I'm a straight guy." He said. XD I never said you weren't, Mr. Agus. Alan wasn't really hitting on him anyway, and I doubt he'll ask him out anytime soon. lols.
An update after practically half a year! Things have changed a lot, all's well for everyone I hope. Especially Eleena and Fariza. Have a good time there!
