Getting Crafty - Girly Sweet Piggy Bank

Jan 23, 2008 15:33

Made this today on one of my failed Rabi En Rose dice box(made it too big). I was already using it as a piggy bank and I have a hell load of leftover lace and whatnots. SO I RELEASE STRESS. XD

Materials
Mounting Board
Lace
Leftover Bias Tape
Leftover zig-zg trim
Ready Made ribbon rose
Pink plastic pearl beads
Plastic Hearts
UHU Glue

Method
  1. Cut 6 pieces of 4.5 x 4.5 inch mounting board.
  2. Cut a coin hole in one piece of the mounting board.
  3. Glue the sides together carefully with UHU glue / super glue and form a closed box.
  4. Wait for glue to dry and box is solid.
  5. Glue lace on the coin-holed top of the box. Make sure the lace does not cover the coin hole.
  6. Then, glue lace around the sides of the box. Make sure to cover the entire sides.
  7. Glue one line of zig zag trim right at the bottom of the boxes's sides.
  8. Glue the plastic beads in a neat row above the zig zag trim.
  9. Next, glue the leftover bias tape just about 1.5cm below the top of the box.
  10. Glue the Ribbon in the middle of one side of the box, on top of the bias.
  11. Lastly glue the plastic hearts on the 4 corners of the plastic beads.
  12. Let it dry and you can start keeping coins/money in your new Girly Piggy Bank!
