[Wow the music here can get old. And it's not even good music. But, she's learning to deal with it. Because she has to. And because when you move, apparently new music comes up.

She can live with that.

Now she's in Cherrygrove and has Jethro with her and an egg. She's quite fond of that egg too. Yep. She has no idea what it's supposed to be but that's okay. She doesn't mind. This is Abby after all.

Soooooooo...where is Gus? Cute guy, dark skin... Oh wait. That's a message. Pokemon Center and the Inn. She'll head that way because she can. Theeeeeen she calls when she gets to the Inn.]

[Gus gets the response just as he's about to reach the doors to the Center. The Inn is really close by since the town is small, so... he might as well go greet Abby first, then he can probably start showing her the ropes while he's at it! He'd just bring her with him when he went to give Lassie to Nurse Joy.

So he makes his way back out of the Center and to the Inn, waving (with his free arm. Juliet is still using his other for a bed.) to get her attention once he's inside.]

[Oh! There he is! Don't ask how she manages to run in those boots she's wearing. But she manages and comes over to Gus.

And promptly hugs him (while being careful of the Pokemon) and kisses his cheek.]

[If Gus has had any doubts to the sincerity of your promise of a hug and a kiss he certainly doesn't now. He catches her with his free arm in surprise but promptly feels a huge, stupid grin on his face as she kisses his cheek. I told you I got it, Shawn.]

[Gus will protect you from here on out. Bet. He's totally going to let Abby decide when she's ready to break contact. He kind of hopes it's not right away, but he's not a pervert! S-SOB]

[Gus can't help a grin, she seems like the type that's really good with animals, and definitely a fellow animal lover. He looks to see who her starter was, a Poochyena. They were kind of hard for him to come by in the games, seeing one in person is definitely cool.

Well... [--as he lets you go so you can look at Juliet, who is starting to wake up and open her eyes tiredly. The little Chimchar looks up at this new person with wide eyes. Gus lets her sit up with him for support.] This is my Chimchar, Juliet. When I woke up on Easter morning her egg was on my pillow.

[Which might explain why she liked sleeping there even now. Have an excited call, Abby, and Juliet wants to climb onto your shoulder, but she'll make her way up Gus' for an easier jump point first.]

[Abby totally moves in closer just to help Juliet jump onto her shoulder. She is 100% all for that because Juliet is TOO CUTE.]

[Gus' hand had been about to move to pet Jethro until he heard that, then he's thinking twice you can totally see the surprised and sudden hesitance in his expression at that announcement and opts to just offer his hand instead. Let Jethro decide if he's trustworthy first. :x]

[Meanwhile, Juliet takes the Abus/Gabby bridge to Abby's shoulder and nuzzles Abby's temple in return for the petting. Juliet is totally Gus' baby, okay. He spoils her.]

Juliet really likes you too, it looks like. She's usually shy around strangers.

[This might be because the ones she's met so far are boys that Gus has battled, who knows?

Gus retrieves Shawn's ball from his belt.] I'd introduce you to the others, but I haven't stopped at the Center just yet, I should let them rest first. I thought it might be a good chance to show you how things work while I'm at it, if you want to come with me?

The Center? Is that where we take them to get help? Or is it just rest? I never actually played any of the games when they came out. My little brother did though. He really liked them. That's probably why I didn't pay much attention the whole thing at first.

[Totally loving and giving Juliet a ride while she heads towards the Center. Keep up, Gus. You did say that's where everyone is going, right?]

And Juliet isn't too shy. She just knows that there are some people who will love her more than others. It's just like with Jethro. And animals on Earth. They always know who to trust.

Both, you can sleep at the Centers if you can't afford the inns or hotels, and they act in place of hospitals and doctors' offices for humans too. Don't worry if you don't have a lot of experience with the games, that's what you have me for. [He is pausing in between lines there, like he does here to give her a "Can you keep a secret?" grin.] Don't tell Shawn if he ever shows up, but I actually play the games back home. Shawn used to drive me crazy with them so he'd never let me hear the end of it if he found out. Just consider me your personal guide to all things Johto.

[A charming smile and a gentlemanly offer of his arm to you, Abby, as he catches up quickly and keeps up. Juliet seems to agree with Abby, resting comfortably on her new perch. Girl BFF's.]

I'm guessing you really love animals. You seem right at home around them, any pets as a kid, or back home?

I promise not to say a word to anyone about how knowledgeable you are. But from personal experience, it's very cute. I like guys who do things like that. And gamers. I've dated a lot of them. They don't get weirded out by the things I like. That's something I like a lot in a guy. [Because hey, she's quirky and goth and proud of it!]

I do love animals. But I can't have them where I live back home. I almost had a dog but my landlord said I couldn't keep him.

[He's just guessing, but you seem like the type that would name an animal if you were that serious about keeping it, that a landlord was the only thing stopping you.] What kind of hobbies do you have? Nope. He's named after Gibbs. Just like the other Jethro was. Gibbs liked that I did that too. He helped me get over having to give up Jethro.

[Oddly enough, after knowing Shawn so long he's actually having no trouble following that. At least not a lot.] Gibbs is one of the people you mentioned in your first post, right? Do you know if the other Jethro went to a good home...? [He looks at you with a little concern, not sure if asking is going to bring up bad feelings or not.

To her question he just nods with a soft "Mm-hm.", giving her a patient and endeaaaaaaaring smile. :D]

That's him. And Jethro better have gone to a good home. I was having McGee take care of him. If he didn't get him a good home then he'll pay the price.

[Okay. So far so good.] I spend a lot of time at work so I don't really have free time. But I am in a bowling league with a group of nuns and I do like to spend time in my coffin. Which is my bed. Plus going through graveyards is nice. You can have some great parties there.

Oh and I research new ways to kill people. [Suddenly she covers that up fast.] For work. To catch bad guys. Who kill people. They're getting really creative these days and I'm the only one who can stop them. Because I know how they do it and... [And she's rambling. Feel free to stop her.]

Okay, there is a brief moment where Gus blinks at you before you fix that wording, Abby, CAN'T BE HELPED, BUT THEN YES that makes sense. You would need to research your job, after all.

And nothing can really compare to listening to Shawn make occasional gutting, stabbing, slashing, head bashing sound effects as he breaks down the details of each crime.]

Oh yeah? That makes sense, and it's kind of ironic. Shawn and I are on a baseball team with the police.

[Gus LIKES you, Abby, so he's going to totally downplay the fact he's afraid of ghosts like crazy okay. TOTALLY DOWNPLAYING IT.]

I study safes and locks, and ways to crack them. You know, for cases... also to catch bad guys... who have usually killed people, or are planning to. Work requirements, huh?
