Not incredibly. I think you get one free egg in every game after the second generation. That's not counting all the people that give you free Pokeballs, rare candies, TM's, rate nicknames, free Pokemon massages, and want to trade Pokemon with you.
[A beat, a thoughtful frown.]
You know what? On second thought, pretty generous.
[That's okay. Gus can take a little well intentioned teasing, it's Lassie's and Chief Vick's occassional snips that usually get the "Are my ears really that big?" or "..." face. This one you're getting now is more like a "See, this is why I like talking to sane people." face.

It refers to the set each game belongs to, including remakes. Like generation one games were Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow, generation two were Gold, Silver, and Crystal, and I think generation three and four were... Emerald and Sapphire? Then Platinum, Diamond, and Pearl. I have Platinum-- I mean, one of my friend's younger cousins has Platinum.
[A good liar Gus is not when he's on his own.] ... Anyway. The game we're in is generation two... maybe one of the remakes. These games are insanely popular back home since about nineteen-nintey-nine.
[He's ... not too bothered with this.]
