The Shabby Human Body Exhibition

Between meeting my accountant and agent's assistant today, I went to The Amazing Human Body exhibition. It was... well... 'shabby' is the word that best describes it.

I love the tv shows (Anatomy for Beginners/Autopsy: Life and Death) but this badly displayed, pathetically captioned collection of dusty and old-looking displays was such a disappointment I should have asked for my money back. It ought to have been amazing and educational. It failed at being either.

Worse, it suffered from that unforgivable malady of exhibitions: no captions or explanation on some of the exhibits, just a number for the audio tour. I hate audio tours. They give me headaches and the devices always smell bad. But having items in an exhibition with no explanation except one that can only be accessed through paying extra for the audio tour... that just makes me feel cheated.

Thinking of going? Don't. Save the $22 and buy the two dvds instead.
