Christmas for Jack.
When Jack was young Christmas was different. On Boeshane they celebrated but it was different. It was still a time for family.
When Jack was with the Doctor and Rose, Christmas tended to be a time of fighting aliens and lots of running.
When Jack got stuck on Earth, Christmas passed either in a drunken haze, doing Torchwood business, or as it had been for a long time, being alone.
Now Jack has found something that makes Christmas fun, exciting and something he looks forward to.
Jack has found a man who loves him and whom he loves. He has found someone to share the excitement of buying, giving and receiving gifts. Someone with whom he can curl up with on Christmas morning, sit in front of an open fire with, drink coffee and open presents.
Jack looks up from wrapping a small box; he watches his team and in particular one man. The man who makes everything right, he looks back at the gift and runs his finger over the lid, he can’t wait to give this gift tomorrow.
