I feel like telling the world my playlists. Mostly because I can't sleep.
Lost in This Moment With You- Big & Rich
Its terribly romantic and all wedding-y.
Moments- Emerson Drive
This song is really sad and melancholy. It mostly gets me because there are a lot of homeless people in Las Vegas, and this song makes me think about all the things they must've gone through to get where they are. Oh yeah, and the guy thinking about killing himself is kinda sad too.
Good Morning Beautiful- Blake Shelton
Listening to this song makes me ache for Kyle. I can't listen to it without thinking about him. Sometimes I sing it to him when we wake up in this morning.
I'll Wait For You- Joe Nichols
Once again, I'm being sappy. I like ballads and country makes me think of Kyle, who got me into listening to it.
Not Ready to Make Nice- Dixie Chicks
This song makes me giggle. Its pretty obvious what the meaning of it is for the crazy blonde one, but its a good female power song. Its pretty much a musical, "Fuck You."
Fast Cars and Freedom- Rascall Flatts
I just like this one.
You're My Better Half- Keith Urban
I <3 Nichole Kidman, so I like him by extension.
Amazed- Lone Star
I can't think about this one off the top of my head, but its on here, so I must like it.
There You'll Be- Faith Hill
This one is pretty much a country, "My Heart Will Go On" of Titanic fame.
From This Moment- Shania Twain
I've always liked this one, and now that I'm with someone and we're waiting five years to get married and NOBODY thinks its really going to happen, I'm hoping to have this one played at the wedding.
Standing Outside the Fire- Garth Brooks
Kyle downloaded this one, but I like the way it sounds.
Before He Cheats- Carrie Underwood
This one is just fun to listen to.
Don't Cry Joni- Conway Twitty
My dad had this Conway Twitty tape that he played a whole bunch one a trip to CA or CO (I can't remember which) when I was about six, and I ended up memorizing all the songs on it. I really liked singing along to the female part on this one because of how little girlish it sounded. And my dad just liked the song, so we would sing it together, so now its a pretty fond memory for both of us.
Goodbye Earl- Dixie Chicks
Anyone who has heard this song knows why I like it.
Life is a Highway- Rascall Flatts
Its fun to drive to.
How Do I Live?- Leann Rhimes
I was a big Leann Rhimes fan way back when, and this one is all woeful and such.
Desperado- The Eagles
Not strictly country, but since most of the songs on here remind me of Kyle, I put this one on too.
Breathe- Faith Hill
Its a good mantra.
Tell Her- Rascall Flatts
I usually fall asleep by now when I listen to this playlist, but I like the song.
Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?- Paula Cole
OLLLLLLLLLLLLDDDDDDDD song from the 90s. I <3s it. It shows how the wool can be pulled away from your eyes.
Extensentialism on Prom Night- Streelight Manifesto
I ADORE this song. Bordering on obsessing. I really like the sound and the lyrics and just everything.
Touchdown Turnaround- hellogoodbye
This one is so cute. I like their stuff, its happy.
Just Like a Prayer- Madonna
This is a rolldown the windows and belt it out song. I love it.
I'm Only Sleeping- the Beatles
Its about always being tired. Lets just say I can relate.
Lady d'Arbanville- Cat Stevens
Its essence of Cat. He's one of those musicians I've been listening to my whole life because of Dad and listening to his music puts me in a good mood. Not to mention I can sing along and actually sound half-way decent.
Mad World- Gary Joules
Its, "that weird song from the end of Donnie Darko". That movie is so fucking weird. The first time I watched it I was on the phone and playing Civilizations, so I wasn't really paying attention, and then the ending happened, and I was just like, "WHAT THE FUCK?" But anyway, this is a cool song.
Snow Cherries from France- Tori Amos
This is my favorite song from Tales of a Librarian. I don't know why, it just is.
Beautiful- Belle & Sebastian
Lena liked this band so much, I thought I would download some of their songs, and this is one the ones that sticks out to me.
She Will Be Loved- Maroon 5
This albulm came out at an interesting time in my life, and listening to it allows me to reflect on that in a positive, somewhat humorus, "Wow, I was a dumb teenager," kinda way.
Virgin State of Mind- K's Choice
It sounds cool .
Alive With the Glory of Love- Say Anything
This song was at the end of the season ending of Scrubs this season and I couldn't get it out of my head for weeks afterword. I asked on his myspace what the name of the song was, and one of his other friends replied. I was so happy to finally get to listen to it all the way.
It Ends Tonight- All-American Rejects
So, I'm like the last person in the world to like this band and to start listening to them at this point. So sue me. Anyway, so as commercial as it is, I really like this song.
Time After Time- Quiet Drive
I ADORE the original by Cindi Lauper, and even like the Avril Lavigne cover. But this one is different. Because its not acoustic, its not as intimate. Its a good, I'll be there for you song for friends.
I've Always Been in Love With You- Madonna
Pretty much just more gratuitus Madonna.
Roses- Meg and Dia
Dia went to my high school, so I've kinda been recruited into listening to them. On the brightside, I really like their music, but this one is my favorite.
The Middle- Jimmy Eat World
Its an old, overplayed song and I love it for that.
You and I Both- Jason Mraz
I went on this spontaneus Jason Mraz kick. I've always liked his music and I just kinda picked a random favorite to put on this list.
Stolen- Dashboard Confessional
I have been pulled kicking and screaming into liking this band. This song just did it for me. Plus, Kyle was originally SUPPOSED to be a totally physical thing and his sweetness tore down the walls I put up against getting into another serious relationship because of the hatred and apprehension towards the male sex after Andy.
White Flag- Dido
This music video has Angel (David Borneaz) in it!
Not Ready to Make Nice- Dixie Chicks
What? Its a seperate playlist. I'm allowed to have recurrences.
Sugar, We're Goin Down- Fall Out Boy
Its a fun car song.
Strange Little Girl- Tori Amos
If I were into goddess worship, Tori would be mine.
Who Wants to Live Forever- Sarah Brightman (cover)
I like the Queen version better, but this was the one I found first. This song is just... yeah.
Here In Your Arms- hellogoodbye
This song is the reason why I like this band. This is a get out of your chair and whiggle your butt song. Its cute and sweet and innocent and I LURVES it.
On Love, in Sadness- Jason Mraz
I said I went on a kick...
Wanderlust- Nightwish
This song puts into words the way I felt before I had a purpose. Now, I know where I am going in the world. Even if the fucking terrorists insist on blowing up half the place before I get there.
I <3 New York- Madonna
Its a weird song, but I like it.
Mozart Medly- Transiberan Orchestra
They are amazing. I love rock and I love classics. I adore them put together.
Legend of Zelda- System of a Down
If you have played and enjoyed Zelda at any point at all in your life, you need to download this songs. Its histerical.
Tear You Apart- She Wants Revenge
Most of this c.d., if heard at different parts, sounds like the soundtrack of Jack the Ripper. As it is, they're dark and good. They are here this weekend, but playing at an 21+ place :(
Ice Queen- Within Temptation
This was on a c.d. Kristin made me. I REALLY like this song.
Touchdown Turnaround- hellogoodbye
...
Sweet Dreams- Maralyn Manson (cover)
His version of this song makes me cackle.
672- Dresden Dolls
Just insert random Dresden Dolls song here.
Listen to Your Heart- random techno
Yay random techno. Um... this song is so poppy, its a little disgusting. But I like it anyway.
Missing- Everything But the Girl
Its a cool song. A little like "Desert Rose".
Take a Chance on Me- ABBA
I've been enlisted in bringing ABBA back.
Lying is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off- PANIC!At the Disco
Yay for Las Vegas bands, right?
Runaway- Groove Coverage
Again with the Kristin! I have a mild obsession with songs concerned with running away due to my younger wonderlust angst. I've managed to stamp most of it down, but once in a while I get a need to just walk out for a bit. Luckily, now I drive, so it is accomplished a little easier.
Aqueous Transmission- Incubus
Have you ever listened to this song. It sounds really cool, its a little addicting.
Lose Yourself- Eminem
Okay, so I have this completely unwarranted like for Eminem. I don't know what it is- maybe because I can actually follow what he's saying and its audible. I don't know. But this song is... jumpy.
Para Noir- Maralyn Manson
Tyler made me download this song. Its devious. That's teh best way to describe it.
4 o'clock in the Morning- Lazard
Its just kinda there...
Gangsta's Paradise (techno remix)- Tupac, etc.
I really like Dangerous Minds and I really like the original song, but this was teh best I could get downloaded.
Violet- Hole
I watched a really cool show about Courtney Love tonight. I know she's this fucked up drug addict, but I like her. I don't even really like her music that much, but its good. And she's friends with Billy Corgen from Smashing Pumpkins, which is cool.
Here in Yor Arms- hellogoodbye
Have I mentioned how much I REALLY like this song.
One- DBSK
*shrug*
Jumpin Jumpin- Destiny's Child
I really like some of their music. Not just because of Beyonce, but I like it. I think she sounds better in the harmony.
Covered in Cowardice- Billy Talent
Billy Talent rocks my currently proverbial socks.
FASHIONISTA- Jimmy James
This song is histerical. "Fashion is the art/ designers are the gods/ modles play the part of angles in the dark..." and so on. Then its lists a whole bunch designers and "NAOMI CAMPBELLS SUCH A BITCH!". Its great.
Well, that's it for now. I'm going to try and get some beauty sleep for my interview tomorrow.
