Ivanhoe - Sir Walter Scott
Misery - Stephen King
The Birthday of the World - Ursula le Guin
Judgment Calls - Alafair Burke
The Triumph of the Sun - Wilbur Smith
The Big Bad Wolf - James Patterson
A Spanish Lover - Joanna Trollope
Cry, the Beloved Country - Alan Paton
The Telling - Ursula le Guin
Nerve - Dick Francis
Flesh and Blood - Jonathon Kellerman
The Torment of Others - Val McDermid
Dark Justice - Jack Higgins
Good Morning, Midnight - Reginald Hill

Because I'm a poor student and I spend too much money on books, I decided to read all the books already in our house before allowing myself to buy anymore. This means reading books that I would probably not have chosen otherwise. This can be a good thing - Cry, the Beloved Country is a wonderful book and as detective stories go Good Morning,Midnight is also very good. Unfortunately it can also be a bad thing - Judgment Calls, A Spanish Lover, Flesh and Blood....And there's still a lot of books left in the mixed bag of unknowns. Eek.
