On average, rape and incest only account for 1% of the abortions in the United States. Saving the mother's life is at 7% percent. So 92% of abortions would not fall into that category (and yes, I believe that if the unborn will be birthed disabled, I still think he or she should live because killing people due to disabilities is Hitlerian).

I'm nether pro-life or pro-choice. I think that both sides are now no more than a pack of extremists and are unwilling to give any ground for the sake a rational, ethical and reasonable conclusion on abortion. I believe that in the 8% of cases listed above, abortion is morally acceptable (yet not glorious). I believe that 92% of abortions are morally wrong and equivocable to murder, yet the state should not criminalize most abortions because we are not yet ready for such a dramatic change.

And I also believe that abstinence should be rationally promoted at schools, but birth control should be taught, even made accessible to students who have decided to make a wrong choice. Parental notification should be the norm (except for incestuous cases) because if a girl is pregnant, she should receive help from her friends and family instead of hiding her pregnancy and life-style and not solving this problem (and if my would-be daughter had an abortion without my knowledge, I would be extremely_pissed).

Finally, I believe that men too have a say as to whether abortion is acceptable or not. I have never lived in the Sudan, but does that mean that the unconscionable genocide of black Darfur Africans is okay because the Janjuweed think it is? No, it is not. Ethical and moral relativism have created some of the greatest travesties in human history.

i must concur with this statement...a state of neutrality is key in any argument...but if u think about the all kinds of hell a girl has to go through in giving birth to a child; most likely one that she didnt want in the first place, through rape or poppin a rubber or control not controlling or wateva. it just doesnt make sense to let them suffer so much for a cause that they didnt ask for in the first place.

im gonna go ahead and say that this stuff should be over...its pointless to argue about something we dont have much influence over in the first place...so let it be over

Truth be told, people are commonly unhealthily stubborn on their abortion stance. The funnest thing one can do is to piss off a pro-life or pro-choice enthusiast (either side works) and playing the devil's advocate. It is absolutely hilarious.
