Phoenix!
Whew! I feel like I've been gone forever! We're back from Phoenix now and we had a fabulous time. It was SO great to see everyone. Dan and Jacqueline's wedding was absolutely beautiful, the bride and the groom were both stunning...and glowing! It was a truly magical evening. And it was great to meet so many of their other friends! Hi guys!
All in all, a busy and wonderful trip. Mark's mom stuffed us to the gills with all of her fabulous food. I got to cuddle and coo over two of my friends' babies. (The baby fever is reaching all-time highs, oh nooo! Must hold out for a few more years!) I saw my mentee who is now SEVENTEEN! She was a month shy of 14 when we first met. She's growing into a lovely, mature, and very responsible adult and I'm so proud of her.
We hit up Flagstaff and Tucson to see Mark's brother and sister and I was again awed by the beauty of the Arizona landscape- so unlike the Southeast. It was fun to see cacti and mountains again. We reveled in the freedom of not being in an office. Leisurely mid-morning coffees, afternoon siestas... it was a much-needed break from the day to day. (Oh how I look forward to starting school... and then a career outside the 9-5 office world!)
Now I'm back and crazy busy at work, and my new second "job" with Stand Up. Which I need to get cracking on right now. Toodles!
