2 Years!
It's our two year anniversary today! Mark snuck out earrrrrrrrly this morning and came back with two dozen gorgeous roses. I'm one lucky girl.
Y'know, it's hard to explain why our relationship is so great. Sure, I could list hundreds of reasons and various things that make me happy about us... but I'm not sure if I can really sum it all up in just one word or phrase. There's just a sense of... wholeness. Which is not to say that I would not be whole without him. I know who I am as an individual and my relationship in no way defines my entire being. But now there's this extra wholeness. The whole of us!
1. He laughs at commercials that really aren't funny. At all.
2. He laughs at the very beginning of The Simpsons, when "The Simpsons" first breaks through the clouds, before anything funny has happened. (I think he's just happy it's starting?)
3. He rocks at trivia games. And Taboo!
4. He's Asian.
5. He's a great cook.
6. He rubs my back every night to help me fall asleep.
7. He usually gives me a foot massage, too.
8. He put the Ikea bookshelf together!
9. He knows all the lyrics to Rent.
10. He can talk to anyone about almost any subject and sound smart.
11. He's not scared to ask lots of questions.
12. He says "However..." a bazillion times when he's explaining something.
13. He doesn't complain about anything.
14. He takes the trash out so I don't have to.
15. He is totally in love with our cats.
16. He talks to kids like they are regular people.
17. He's scared of holding babies.
18. He leaves me love notes on pretty stationery.
19. He writes letters to his parents, grandparents, and best friends every month. Real letters, not emails.
20. He's always up for eating sushi, Thai, or Chinese food.
21. He doesn't sleep late on the weekends.
22. He always thinks I look good, even when I don't.
23. He took really good care of me when I had mono and was gross and snotty and miserable.
24. He moved across the country with me.
25. He's learning Chinese.
26. He taught a bunch of anime fans how to pick up hot chicks. And it worked! (Well, for a few...)
27. He's got a great body and he works hard at it.
28. He lets me pull on his elbow skin.
29. He teaches me how to use the machines in the gym.
30. He doesn't get mad when I change my mind 50 times about any given thing.
31. He irons!
32. He has cool handwriting.
33. He finds creative ways to fix things when they break.
34. He puts the toilet seat down.
35. He uses Clinique face wash, but he has me buy it for him cuz he gets embarrassed.
36. He takes good pictures.
37. He accomplishes whatever he sets his mind to.
38. He's confident without being cocky.
